wow, i thought this movie was just going to be another romance comedy.. but its actually pretty funny.. and Dustin Hoffman is halarious in it
i love this movie to me the pink balloons they use are symbolic of nitros oxide and i share all the ideas this movie portraits about the universe
I love it. Mark Wahlberg's rants about petroleum were just so good, and yeah it was so ever-so-slightly-bizzare that it rocked. oh man and Lilly Tomlin's dive into that car makes me laugh so hard every time. and i love that line about "should I bring my own chains?" "We always do"....classic.
Definitely one of my favorites. Here are my top quotes: Albert : Motherfucking cocksucker motherfucking shit fucker what am I doing? What am I doing? I don't know what I'm doing. I'm doing the best that I can. I know that's all I can ask of myself. Is that good enough? Is my work doing any good? Is anybody paying attention? Is it hopeless to try and change things? The African guy is a sign, right? Because if he isn't, than nothing in this world makes any sense to me. I'm fucked! Maybe I should quit. Don't quit! Maybe I should just fucking quit. Don't fucking quit! I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to fucking do anymore! Fucker! Fuck shit! Dawn: There's glass between us. You can't deal with my infinite nature can you? Brad: That is so not true. Wait, what does that even mean? --I Heart Huckabees
I love Dawn's line about "I'm in my tree talking to the Dixie Chicks and they're making me feel better"
My favorite.... "Have you ever transcended space and time?" then he replies... "Time but not space, wait, what are you talking about..." IT's such a good movie.
im sorry to bump this up so many pages but i just had to comment.. this movie is abolsutely hilarious. so many of the scenes i could not stop giggling....hahaha a lot of the sarcasm i found very funny...and just the music and mark wahlberg was fantastic in it the main characters stream of thoughts was tight. hoffman was funny....the character jude law plays makes you really dislike him...but gosh the whole movie is just awesome. i just felt so happy watching it
yah ive seen it a couple times (its been on t.v. a lot lately), real good movie, funny with interesting ideas, i thought the part where lilly is runs through the sprinkles and gets hit and says "shit, fuck" was pretty hilarious...whose form of existentialism do you agree with...lilly's and hoffmans or the french lady(dont recall her name)...I kinda agree with the french lady's more...that the world is in a constant state of chaos and how its kinda pointless(maybe hopeless is a better word) to try and fight for the forests and nature(i dont think its pointless, its a great cause but its a battle i dont think will win) because its in mans nature to destroy(we always have and always will) and her version seems like it recognizes the human emotions and embraces them rather than repress...
