Thoughout history , the greatest battles have been fought over economic interests.
So when a coup in Mauritania goes all the way and is soon forgotten, and as if that were not enough a couple of weeks earlier Bush announces that the Sahel could be the new hotbed for Al Qaeda, is it as simple as that or the greasy motives behind that lie in the fact that oil was discovered in southern sudan and in Mauritania commercial supplies will begin as early as January 2006, the sahel lies in between Mauritania and southern Sudan and of course west African oil producers, somethimes i wonder if this is not another ploy to bring the war terror to the already ravaged continent with the infernal aim of perpetuating the vicious cycle of exploitation?!
