okay, i know this topic has been brought up a bit lately...i've got some recipes for canna butter, but im not sure what a good dosage would be for 1 person...what should be a minimum amount of marijuana to use? i'm just curious if say, 4-6 grams would do anything to me? cooking up the butter and pretty much eating it all once its done..if not i wont even bother, i'll just wait till i can make a full batch of potent brownies
alright well i went ahead and made some butter with about 5 grams or so.. once the butter was finished i put it in a bowl of chili...i figured it wouldnt taste too bad, but it was terrible! i mean i love marijuana, but that tasted so disgusting mind you i was lazy and left all the weed in the butter, so it was hard to chew it anyways, i just finished the bowl of chili...i dont know if maybe placebo effects are working or something right now, or im actually feeling the effects of the weed as im typing here i feel a little lethargic, everything is starting to feel a bit more vibrant..it almost feels like the beginning of a mushroom trip, sort of that coming up feeling when you know the drugs are taking hold anyways, ill let ya know in a bit if anything has happened..i really hope i made the butter right, and hopefully it works..would be such a waste of weed if nothing happens
You put butter in chili? Cannabutter involves straining out all the plant material. You know that right? Next time you have just a few grams you want to eat, make bhang. Pour a glass (like 8--12 oz.) milk (whole milk works best) into a sauce pan, crumble bud into it and simmer over low heat for 30--40 min. NOT BOIL, simmer. THEN, cool the milk slightly and strain the milk/mj mixture through a t-shirt (or panties, anything cotton) into a glass and drink it. You can add cocoa/hot choc. mix to it, even Nestle's Quik. P.S. be sure to wring out the cotton real good. Sometimes the most THC is in the last few drops of milk.
Ranger, how much weed should one use? And for us cooking-ignorant people, what exactly does simmer mean?
lol trippin, dude, simmer is beyond the kitchen it means to only have a mixture partially boiling, so that boiling water from teh bottom slowly bubbles up, and keeps a steady circulation of heat through the mixture without it actually getting to boiling temp. however, straining out teh weed is personal preference.
so whats the perfect temp for simmer? Medium or low? I really dont wanna fuck up again next time I have weed, Ive wasted tons of weed fuckin up cookin.
who the fuck adds butter to chilli? thats just nasty. come on, cooking with pot is easy, its just nailing the dosage thats tricky personally, i'd say 2-3 grams of decent pot should do the trick most of the time it takes a while to fully develop, though. best to consume in the middle of the afternoon, or very early evening, because it DEFINITELY creeps up on you. dont overshoot it, or you'll pass out real easy.
ok so i made the butter last night..i know adding butter to chili is digusting, but we had some leftover chili anyways so i decided to mix it.. im pretty sure i felt the effects, cause i just woke up...i felt really stoned and lazy and tired last night after i ate the butter, then i just fell asleep i had some fucked up dreams too
usually it takes over an hour to really feel it. for this reason i would never take any oral cannabis concoctions after around 6 or 7 pm, unless i was in the habit of staying up until about 3 in the morning. but yeah, eating too much WILL knock you the fuck out so you can't even get a chance to enjoy it properly.
