Walked half of the 12km to stonehenge, so time for our second spliff/rest and.. ..a swim. That's myself and one of my students; Vilem from Czech Rep. One of the vistas on our walk to stonehenge: First night in the forest, boog(Nathan)-'got all i need in a tiny bag' doesn't need a tent. I set some kindling going for a fire. Filippo from Italy on the left, Hanna from Poland and Pablo from Colombia opposite me. Trek from the forest to the Henge. That's Jessica from Spain hugging the world. My pet ladybird wants to come dance at the Henge too. The Maonmobile and Nathan. At the main campsite. Gathering around the Van that cooked up all the mushroom tea for peeps. Giles, mohecan dude,Jaycee,Austin(an old friend of mine just back from living in Cairo-you'll meet him at Beautiful Days),Clara(from Spain),Jessica,Steve(who we met hiking on the way-goodman!),Fleassy. In the stones. The stones are becoming charged with all that bongo dancing madness.... Full quantum flux resonation achieved!! Waiting for the sunrise after a long night full of much adventure... Austin on the left. I'm helping little Clara with the view. The mist is slowly rolling back... Aha at last! The Earth flies on. The Sun smiles down.
Yeah top pics, that camoflage bivvy bag looks almost invisible. I intended to go myself but couldn't get off the settee that day
Aye man, wonderful pictures Hahaha, boog and his tiny bag, excellent stuff! The ladybird, mist and "Full quantum flux resonation achieved"! are my favourites.

was incredibly fun, if not a little scary at times (im sure you will agree kev????) although it was very commercial and on a very large scale lots of fun was had, and the amazing sight of the nighttime sky above the stonehenge was magical one i shall never forget. thank you everyone for a grand time love peace and smiles jx
oh yes it was rather an ordeal at times when at the festival proper, not helped at all by the fact i'd been greedy with the mushrooms and had disrespected the power of colombian funghi; much to the distress of my battered mind during a full two hour roller coaster of psychedelic sanity-terror. I could see everyones skeletal structure and myriads of red, green, blue pixilated bubble points would osmose out of the darkness through a million aztec geometry carpet patterns at every opportunity. i thought my feet were gushing firey blood. hmmm, i will indeed respect the amount of mushrooms gobbled in future.... i much preferred my stay in the woods the day before. which, in hindsight, is the part i always look forward to at solstice time. the actual stonehenge bit has got rather too hectic with all sorts of nasty people as well as nice people. not even the hari-krishnas braved it this year. here's a picture of when i stayed in the woods a few years ago, it's always the same one. A lovely old place south of the henge along the ancient processional way thats now an overgrown tractor trail. do you recognise the trees in the background from more recent pics? In future i'm going to find a stone circle a way out in the Highlands of Scotland since the place is covered in them. And, I enjoy the countryside more than the event itself so why not go to one of the most beautiful places in Britain? Who's up for it?
