Slang taught in schools possible?

i read that there was a group of people who wanted to teach black southern slang in school as a language in schools with many black students. They wanted to make slang into an official language. Now wouldnt that be a stupid thing to do. lol no offence ment to anyone by the way. Most people including the student said that was a silly idea.

Just imagine some immagrant who went to one of those schools and they made that happen. The poor dude couldn't even get a job beacuse he/she couldn't spell or read proper english.

 

What the hell.

But wouldn't it be funny as hell if some scrawny little white nerd kid went there and spoke like that?

 

Wouldn't turning slang into an official language no longer make it slang?

I think not. We're not going to speak slang, were going to speak correct english.

 

They tried this a couple years back and it didn't happen.
It honestly sickens me.

 

i belive americas official language was almost german...

america will never be a bi-lingual country, and if it did become one, it would be spanish

 

I usually just prepare my grill cheese as usual, butter on bread, then throw down some garlic before I slap the cheese on. I have to experiment with different methods and see what tastes right, though...

i thought there were more peeps inna US with Spanish as their first lingo than English these days? wouldn't it make more sense to concentrate on Spanish slang than english?

Nah, I just think as hard as I can on not thinking. Since I focus all my attention on not thinking, I dont think about anything else. After that the stupidity just flows. I KNOW IT WAS THE BUBONIC PLAGUE! It was a bad joke, no need to insult me over it though.

Why do you think language needs to be proper? How do you think languages arose in the world, they had to come from some sort of "slang" we didn't evolve from monkeys speaking english
