I have read Go Ask Alice and thought it was really good. What did you think??

It took a loooooong time to get into the good stuff it seemed. When she had her first tripp it was almost half read. But I thought it did capture her chaotic drug lifestyle really good.

Do you know of anyother books like that?? Like an autobiograhy or journals on drug lifestyle experiences?

Have you read electric kool aid acid test? Ive heard about it. Have not read it yet. Ive seen some other books written by Tom Wolf and havent read them either. Are they worth reading?? Ihve heard some great things about acidtest and I want some opinions from you also.

    tnx!!~

Not to spoil your fun, but Go Ask Alice is not an actual account of a young girls experimentation with drugs. It was first created to stir youth away from the drug culture back in the 70's. It was published under Harper Collins originally as an anonymous account, but now the publishers list the book as a work of fiction...By the way when I first read it, it was imprinted in my mind.

Another teen book like that is the Late Great Me: Sandra Scoppettone. Just as vivid.

Naked Lunch - William Burroughs (basically a literal interpretation of Heroin, and it's use/misuse)

Addict - Stephen Smith (biography of an amphetamine addict)

H - Christiane F. (biography of a german heroin addict, very grim)

    Several by Irvine Welsh....

    Junk - Melvin Burgess
