How many episodes can you think of with references to tripping or drugs in general? i just realised theres tons, i can think of at least 7 but im sure theres heaps more. theres the one where lisa drinks the water at duff beer gardens Homer eating the hot chilli & sees the coyote Homer in vibrating chair seeing time warp image Bart & millhouse with the kwik E mart squishy Otto talking to his shoe at hullaballoozer Ned sees pink elephant & hammer crossing road Homer & lisa in sensory deprivation tanks
I watched The Simpsons when I was coming down off of a mushroom trip and the whole episode looked like cardboard.
The whole episode where Homer gets a prescription for weed. The Hullabalooza one..."This whole place smells like Otto's jacket." The one where Bart tries to steal his dog back from the blind guy and the police find marijuana on the man. The one where Burns is on something (I forgot what they say it is) and he lends Homer the money because he thinks he's the Pillsbury Doughboy. The one where they get prescription drugs from Canada and they go wild in the drugstore, all to the tune of "White Rabbit." The one where Lisa is getting braces and she's on a nitrous-induced trip. They even throw in a Beatles reference..."Look! It's Lisa in the sky! No diamonds, though."
The one where Lisa is President and owes Bart a favor. Bart: "Legalize it" And the one where they are on a boat with some Turkish guys and one of them leans over to Homer and says about Marge: "She seemed a little intense so we slipped some hash in her food." And the one were Homer was living with the hippie vegetable juice makers and Homer used their special "stash" out back to keep making the juice.
the episode where bart and milhouse break into flanders' beatles collection, drink 40 year old pop, and bart starts tripping and seeing milhouse dressed as john lennon
there was an episode with Phish that I don't remember too well, but there must have been SOME drug references in that one.
ok first off, we've probably all heard of "bart simpsons" - the psychedelic. When i think of bart simpson, i automatically think of acid. he just seems like the kind of kid who likes acid, to me. But anyway the main thing i wanted to point out is this: soo many cartoons have drug references, especially kid shows. I remember an episode of dragonball z when Gohan eats a hallucinogenic apple (fantasy anime show, not real there's no apple on the planet that will make you trip). Not just that but if anyone's seen Pokemon or Foster's home for imaginary friends, you know exactly what i'm talking about. PM me if you want specific evidence - i don't feel like mentioning the instances nor do i feel like justifying why i watch kids' shows.
HaHa, it's OK..... Don't you think the Teletubbie thing with the spiraling colors, ohing and ahing, and all was pretty trippy. I was floored the first time I watched it.

Hehe I was going to say that one Also in the Tree House of Horro episode where the giant advertising characters destroy Springfeild, a giant Satan is crusing the school and in the commentary they say "We wanted to have Otto say "Uh Oh another acid flashback" but the sensors wouldn't let us".
uh has anyone seen the episode where homer finds his hippie roots and "saves their harvest" by making the hippie's personal plants into juice (which they sold to springfield). barney drinks some and sees a monster, then chugs a beer and a pink elephant comes and saves him. chief wiggum says "nothing but turnips and peyote" i thinik. funny shit
There's an episode where Homer passes out cigars, and barney doesn't take the wrapper off first and starts seeing sgt. pepper.
when homer and marge are kids and have there first kiss together, and they both have trippy images when kissing. not really drug referneces, but still trippy
theres the one where they go to some fair thing and bart buys a "pencil holder" and shows it to homer and her relpies wiht "aaaaah i havnt seen a bong in years" i found that pretty funny ~peace~
When lisa has braces put in she trips on n20 ala Yellow Submarine. I t'ink they say "It's lisa, in the sky, with diamonds" and then get eaten by something.
when they go to england, and bart and lisa go to a candy store and the guy tells them that the candies in england are sweeter or more something than in the US, and they eat it and go crazy... actually it's a trainspotting reference, with maggie crawling on the ceiling and whatnot....hehe
