IronGoth isn't worth a piss in the wind. Arguing with a straight edge ass like him will get you nowhere. I can EASILY find scientific PROOF to discount everything he said, but a joker like him would still rable on......

This is what I posted on that forum:
IRONGOTH, whatta bitch. Just because you don't think that marijuana is right for you, doesn't mean that it's not right for others. It seems to me that one of the main reasons you disapproveof marijuana use is because it's against the law. You don't like it because the government tells you not to like it. If government officials had any sense, alcohol would be illegal and weed would be legal. Alcohol is much worse than marijuana smoke could ever be. Tobacco is also worse than marijuana could ever be.
You know what's really funny? Marijuanaphysicist, who happens to be a weed smoking 17 year old, seems to be much more mature than you in the ways that he views this subject.
You say that smoking pot makes you stupid and lethargic. When I was in school I went from failing every class when I wasn't smoking to passing every class when I was smoking. It completely cancelled out my ADHD symptoms. It's better for people than adderal, which is an amphetamine prescribed for ADD and ADHD. But adderal happens to be legal, that's fucking stupid, almost as stupid as you.

meh I've got better things to do...
    he's not worth it.

And although the information he's spitting out is false, he still has the right to his own opinion, and I respect that.
However I do think people should educate themselves, instead of spouting ignorant falsities like those.

You should also take the time to use correct grammer and punctuation if your going to start a thread such as that. ;)

ok, here's a little factoid for ya guys to throw around, from http://www.whatrain.com/drugcontrol/fact.html

    500,000 Deaths from Legal Drugs

Every year, 8,000 to 14,000 people die from illegal drugs in this country. Every year, over 500,000 people die from legal drugs (Tobacco, liquor and prescriptions). This is roughly a fifty to one ratio. Alcohol alone is involved in seven times more violent crimes than all illegal substances combined. Yet our Government continues to hugely subsidize alcohol and tobacco, while demonizing those who would exercise a different choice.

Sources: Califano,Joseph, Behind Bars: Substance Abuse and America's Prison Population, Forward by Joseph Califano. The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (1998).

also keep this in mind - maybe ya don't wanna hear it, but sometimes ignorance isn't bliss - sometimes ignorance can really bite you on the ass...

Violent vs. Non-Violent Crimes: Prison Sentences

The average sentence for a first time, non-violent drug offender is longer than the average sentence for rape, child molestation, bank robbery or manslaughter. As our prisons rapidly fill to bursting, rapists and murderers are being given early release to make room for no parole drug offenders. While law enforcement continues to go after relatively easy drug violation arrests, every major city in this country has a record number of unsolved homicides.

The Consequences of Mandatory Minimums, Federal Judicial Center Report, 1994.
The Lindesmith Center; Ethan Nadlemann, Director

    World's Leading Jailer: U.S.

The United States has a larger percentage of its population in prison than any country on Earth. Over 1.7 million human beings languish behind bars. Well over sixty percent of federal prisoners , and a significant fraction of state and local prisoners, are non-violent drug offenders, mostly first time offenders. Due to the War on Drugs, we have become the world's leading jailer. 1 out of 35 Americans is under the control of the Criminal Justice System. If present incarceration rates hold steady, 1 out of 20 Americans, 1 out of 11 men, and 1 out of 4 Black men in this country today can expect to spend some part of their life in prison.

the problem is that stats dont do jack shit for legalisation. especially not in stoner forums. information needs to be shown on sources that right wing people believe is true. the news, the papers, oprah, etc.

haha iron ur such a establishment type. no one listen to him. u gotta fight for your right to party. seriously man back off this thread was just a suggestion and u gotta start fights and shit with people.

i think its better to be a peaceful pothead then a argumentative straight and narrow. and dont even fuck with my spelling. we're on an informal internet forum, and no one gives a piss except for you.

***my response....i have a feeling it wasnt worth the energy since its pretty much impossible to convert one of these people with arguing with them.

I find that picture kinda offensive to be honest... not really very nice on people who are like that.

Anyway, opinions are opinions, and even though I disagree with that image being used, I agree with it's general message.
