    Hi,

We are coming over to Amsterdam for a few days at the end of the month and are having trouble deciding on a good hotel.

We are basically looking for a 3* upwards hotel, in the centre or at laest not far from dam square. Calm, with breakfast included in rate and with tea/coffee facilties in room. Oh, and private shower/toilet.

Canal view would be a plus, but not too important.

We've been looking at deals on hotels.nl and can't decide on which hotel to book. After reading reviews on other site it can get a little confusing. [IMG]

Some we have looked at include RHO hotel, rembrandt residence, IBIS, albus grand, well the list goes on...............

We are looking at spending 250 Euros for 2 nights with breakfast.

I would really appriciate it if you could tell me if theese hotels are ok or maybe even suggest some others.

    Thanks for your help.

I would recommend Rennissance Hotel. It's kind of in the direction of the Jordaan area, before the Signel Canal, a close walk from the train station, and a short cut across Damrack to get into the RLD. It's a nice, clean hotel, with a nice bar, restaurant and room service, as well as consierge service and a great lobby (for meeting on the way out). Coffee and tea in the lobby all day long and places to sit and have something to drink when you regroup to head back out. Nice place (and I'm staying there (again!) for Queen's Day 2006. Last year was at Hotel Victoria for Queen's Day, and it was ok, but not the best. Older, smaller rooms, disorganized hotel with fewer services. Enjoy!
