While i was travelling in peru, i had an amazing experience in the jungle of Pucallpa, i drank ayahuasca with a Shipibo family on the Ayacucha river, the shaman also drank the ayahuasca & sang for 4 hours, i was so overwhelmed by my visions that i barely remember any of what i saw, l coulnt even begin to interpret them, but i know what i saw was really beautiful & the thing that sets this apart from other drugs experiences (physically) was that when i sat up & opened my eyes i felt relitively sober with no visual effects, but when lying down with eyes closed i was completly immersed in beautiful fractals & landscapes, in colors ive never even concieved of before. ive heard from other travellors that the visions get stronger the more times you do it. im dying to do it again, but it can be tricky to find, as is DMT in its concentrated form. It is traditionally used in the peruvian amazon for healing purposes & to make contact with the spirit dimension but is also used in Brazil in the Santo Daime religion....Anyway im heading to Bolivia next (from Argentina) i know its a long shot but if anyone has any leads as to where i can find it in either of these countries then please share your info & experiences.
I just recieved the ingredients to make mimosahuasca. The package came in the mail. It is 227g of mimosa hostilis root bark and 150g of syrian rue seeds. I plan on making the brew next weekend, is there anything I should know about the trip. The brew you had probably contained B. Caapi and Psychotria Viridis along with some other additives, but the trip is supposed to be the same except for the added nausea caused by the mimosa. But I was wondering if you noticed any stimulant effects from the trip, such as increased heart rate.
I've taken a few mixtures before... syrian rue was present in all of them. The other ingrediants were a combination or choice of B. caapi, m. hostilis, datura (shoot me later), and p. viridis. I haven't been able to stand the stuff since late august, when I OD(Yes, ODed) on syrian rue seeds. I at 16 grams of them, along with a gram of mushrooms. I spit up all over a park, and couldn't look at lights, because they were too bright. I felt sick, and it was pretty bad. I get nauseous at even a whiff of syrian rue seeds.
Damn! 16g, I don't plan on eating any more than 4-5g of syrian rue with the mimosa. I also recieved some amanita muscaria in the package and plan on eating some rue with that.
im kind of interested in planting shade coffee with anandanthera perigria above it ....[cohoba ] the snuff they made needed no moai to activate ....
wow... i am actually going to peru this spring break. planning on flying into cuzco(?) and then heading to machu pichu. is there any way to go to this same family? is there any places or tips you have as to where i should go to find it? i would be very grateful!
From what I hear it is a very common ceremonial practice in Peru and other parts of South America. You can actually buy the ingredients off of the internet and brew the tea for yourself. Like I said in one of the above posts I just recieved the ingredients myself and am planning to try it next week.
i wasnt able to find anything on the internet ayahuasca wise in peru apart from thousand dollar gringo spiritual healing tours, it wasnt untill i went down the river by myself that i found the authentic shaman, but for those of you that have found places on the net to orde ingredients please share info, also wondering what happens with customs? top notch i felt totally clear only midly stimulated physically quite relaxed but my imagination was going crazy..... i doubt my brew had any syrian rue just B.capi & P viridis, i was with a freind who yacked his guts up but aparrently thats normal, i didnt feel sick at all. Tumbles it was a trek & a half to get to this place in the amazon but you can do ayahuasca tours in cuzco but it will cost more as this is a touristic region, if you want the details of where i did mine i can certainly provide, but there is also a huge amount of ayahuasca in iquitos
thanks... i guess im wondering what trails or routes i should take.. see don't know too much about peru. we were thinking of taking the inca trailto machu pichu but it said it takes "2 to 10 days" and that we should have a shotgun. guns ain't really my thing.. i'm just wondering if there is a route i can take that will run me into authentic peruvian culture and environment (non-tourist) without being in any serious threat of danger.
If you're pretty common on here, pm me for my plant source. They ship pretty quickly, and have very reasonable prices. I've gotten a. columbrina, a. peregrina, m. hostilis, datura, syrian rue, and b. caapi from them. Shipping (standard shipping) is usually about 3 or 4 days to Ohio.
yeah but personally i'd prefer to take it in a genuine cultural/ritualistic setting. just being in peru would take away anything i left at home and to be in the presence of a shaman singing me into different realms of the mind... i would be truly transported. i mean i'm already going there i want to really put myself into it - the preparation, all of it. im sick of tripping where the original aim is something of substance but it ends up me and some freinds getting really fucked up and wandering teh city at 3 in the morning and laughing for hours... i mean its fun but like i said ... im going to peru. i cant wait!
