felty dreads

made some more dreads white/pink/black with dread coils and beads in.
phunkyfreh liked my last pair(hope you like these gal)
these ones are a bit more fatter than the ones i made months back.

 

wow. those are kickass! did it take you a lot of time to make them?

 

yeah quite a while.
i love making them.
takes me about 5-10 mins for every dread, then i hang em up to dry on hooks on the garden!

i have some i sell in groups of 4 aswell

What did you make them out of? And how do you attach them to your head?

 

i was wondering how they attach too. are they something you attach for one day or are they semi-permanent?

they are made from merino wool
(if i spelt that right)
and they are felted onto hair ties........the individual ones have litte elastic hair band on them, but if they eventually break you can sew them into your dreadies like my dear friend dandy did.

i love felted dreads. I wish i had the hair for them

 

How do you make them? are they dificult? i think they'd look pretty nice in my dreads. i have some i bought from a market in amsterdam. they're not as nice as those. but ive had them in my hair for over a year (your prob not supposed to do that,but they still look and feel fine)

 

what if i want just like maybe 3-4 individual dreads? how much would that cost? those are really really cool...... i think i would add those to my exsisting dreads!

ok i ahve the measurements

the big ol fat dread falls have 15 dreads each and are aprox 55 c.m's long

the individual ones are aprox 30 cim's - 45 c.m's
