Stop the War Coalition with CND and MAB have called a National Demonstration to Stop the Bombings, Stop the War, Bring the Troops Home, Defend Civil Liberties and Defend the Muslim Community. More details and materials available soon.
More importantly people should be making contact with allied troops in Iraq, after all it is they who have the power to refuse to be there. If you want the troops out then lobbying allied troops already there and those to be sent there is the best way. By the way you can contact troops in Iraq via this website: http://www.military.com
Well-I'd-hazard-a-guess-it'll-start-at-Hyde-Park...it-usually-does... but-I've-not-heard-anything-definite-yet check this link out if you're thinking of coming along http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114418
Thanks Claire, I'll be there, probably get the train down from NE Lincolnshire (Doncaster station to Kings Cross). I'm meeting a friend there from the G8 Demo too.
The start location is Parliament Square at 12noon, with the march going to Hyde Park for a final rally. I don't see how this will be big enough for a start location unless part of Victoria Street is also used for the assembling crowds. http://www.stopwar.org.uk
hey pinky! it's too late to meet at the demo now why don't you get in contact with some people of your own age who possibly share some of your interest who you'll be able to meet up with in the future on various anti war (and other) demonstrations. let me suggest school students against war www.ssaw.co.uk though you may not be a schoolie (if youre 19) but there's a forum and friendly people...
