Feel free to analyse this nonsense: Basically I was out exploring in the hills, when I stumbled across a pile of rubbish, some wreck of a caravan, and beside it all was some kind of hippy or vagrant or some such. I use the term vagrant here, because his existance wasn't that many pegs above being homeless IYSWIM. Anyway, he looked a little surprised to see me, and indeed I was probably the only individual to pass through these parts in many months. He said something like "I suppose you don't approve of the way I live!". I replied - "No no, quite the opposite in fact, I have similar ideas!". We then talked some more, and I explained that I am working towards leaving mainstream society behind, although I wasn't so sure about all the rubbish and tat that was hanging around, and I thought maybe he needed a wash - because the smell was quite over powering. Any ideas? Maybe it's a premonition of how I'm going to end up!
Freud would probably say that you are carrying a lot of rubbish in your subconscious (smell) and that you are seeking to change your life, to drop out of society (vigrant), to become a hermit, to lead a spiritual life to atone for your sins.
Maybe his smell and appearance were a way for you to confront some of your fears in your dream. You want to leave the mainstream behind, but you don't want to smell like he did. It seems like a way of processing your feelings in a safer way.
The tramp could be a contrary symbol, but the wreckage and the bad smell portends "bad times" ahead. It just may be that you'll meet someone who needs help in real life. AThey may either resist your assistance or bring you down with them.
cymru jules imagine you are all parts of the dream and in this you are your own gloom and glory, and your own most wonderful answer always. Just do not stop to explore the hills and be part of the adventure of change ... don't forget you are an unlimited being. Even if this includes interesting smells
ive been a vagrant hippie for many years in my life those were the happiest times thats what the vagrant represents
