Sorry bout the long title lol but i couldnt decide on a good name... so anyways... to the point now. I think people will start gettin smart about alternatives to trees and fossil fuels... and use Hemp! I found a great couple paraghraphs on http://www.rawganique.com (great site to buy hemp products) and here they are:

At the present rate of deforestation in the United States, it won't be long before we never see a tree, period. At the rate we are going, the United States will be stripped completely bare of all its forests in 50 years.

If the hemp pulp paper process of 1916 were in use today, it could replace 40-70% of all pulp paper form trees, including corrugated boxes, computer printout paper and paper bags. Imagine the effect this conversion to hemp paper alone would have on near-extinct species and all forms of wild life, on old-growth forests that are fast disappearing, on the quality of our water, soil, and air, as well as on our planet's sensitive ecosystem!

Farming only 6% of continental US acreage with biomass crops would provide all of America's gas and oil energy needs, ending dependence upon fossil fuels. Hemp is the only biomass source available that is capable of making the US energy-independent. Ultimately, the world has no other rational environmental choice but to give up fossil fuels.

Couldn't agree with you more. As you may already know, hemp oil can be used to run in Diesel engines. In fact, a group of guys from Virginia converted a Mercedes-Benz 300TD wagon to run on Hemp based fuel. Their project was called http://www.hempcar.org. Check it out!

Oh man, if cars ran on hemp I would move to LA immediately. I mean, they have their own fucking atmosphere! So none of the good sweet exhaust fumes can ever get away. After a few months of that, the whole place would be like one big fucking bong. Count me in.

The usage of industrial hemp for its economic and environmental benefits far exceed what our "leaders" will willingly admit. I'm a HUGE supporter of hemp usage in all aspects... HEMP POWER (heehee) :p

When I heard about how hemp can be used for paper instead of cutting down trees, I was just stumped as to why it isn't more popular then it is...So yeah, I started writing all over my school books and stuff, 'Save the trees, use hemp!" Lol, until someone asked me why I was writing down 'save the trees' on paper...That was pretty funny...

Anyway yeah, go hemp! Hopefully oneday hemp will become alot more popular and trees won't be cut down as much as they do...when they don't even NEED to be and theres an alternative...Grrrrrr, it makes me so angry!

    Save the trees!
