    Hey sisters,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while..things have been pretty busy lately! But I wanted to drop by and put forth a question, with the hopes that someone will have some words of wisdom.

Some of you know/remember that I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome (pcs) this summer..for those who don't know/remember, that basically means that I have varicose veins on my uterus, which causes a great deal of pain, whenever it feels like it.

I spent the summer trying a couple of new things to see what would work and what wouldn't. (as per suggested by my gyne) I went off wheat, which seems to be helping a lot. Not a hundred per cent, but I notice a different between when I eat wheat and when I don't. I also tried yoga, which made it way way worse and was dreadful - although really enjoyable for the rest of my body! I visit the chiropractor from time to time, who does stretches and adjustments on my hips and knees, because the pain in my uterus refers out into my hip joins and knee joints, sometimes my ankles as well.

Lately things have been getting really annoying. The pain is getting bad again and more frequent. More days are spent with pain than without, and it's really starting to take over my life. There are days I can't walk, or days when the pain makes me really really nauseus. I really don't want to deal with this all the time!!

So what i was wondering was if anyone had any suggestions. I'm basically willing to try almost anything...although I'm short on time (school is heavy this semester) so I can't really go "join" things. Also, I'm allergic to iron if you're going to suggest anything medicinal (yes, even herbal iron is bad) keep that in mind. Please please think of something, help me out... this thing is taking over my life and it's really got me in a dark place. PM if you don't want to reply here.

    Thanks!!

Aww sweets, I don't have any advice for you, but I'm sure one of these other lovely ladies here will be able to offer you some insight.

I had been thinking about you lately, wondering where you had gone off to. ;)

    Big hugs...

    I am so sorry Cher....
When I was dealing with the chronic pain i had from endo.. I did physical therapy for some time. It seemed to help some..
There is pain management I also did that was okay, they just gave me meds to help with my pain...

Sometimes I know this is horrible to say, you just have to endure the pain. I know, that sounds so horrible, thats what my doc told me...
What does your doctor say? can they preform anything to relieve some of the pain? Maybe you need a second opinion or maybe it could be due to something else as well..

I am sorry, I know this doesnt help at all, but I wish you the best sweetie and I really REALLY hope you feel better so much..
    love and hugs :)

HCM, thanks for the kind words and thoughts :) I've missed a lot of people around here, definitely including you :) It makes me sad that I've lost track of some great people.

Kayla... thanks for the support hon. There is a surgery they can do which would probably fix most things if not everything altogether, but because it involves cutting through my uterus, they won't do it until I'm finished having children. So maybe in about 10 years or so I'll be able to do it.
Endure the pain...yah I've been told that too. Sometimes it's not so bad, I can do it. Sometimes it comes on so quick, you know? But the worst part is what it's doing to me as a person, and what it's doing to my self-concept. I always feel like such a shit when I can't do something because the pain is excrutiating.. or because I know if I do it then the pain will be that much worse tomorrow.

What about you sweetie? How's your pain doing? I think about you from time to time, I hope you're doing well. Thanks for writing back :)

Lots of love & hugs to ALL the women here!

what does your gyno say? surely they have recommended a course of treatment? tbh and I don't want to start a debate here, there are some that say PCS is a very vague diagnosis without a really well understood pathophysiological process behind it - i.e. no one knows how/why it causes pain and some would argue there is no such thing. be as it may, I know some who recommend trying a course of progestogens to see if they help. as I stated first.. what does your gyno recommend?
