Now i have noticed there are many people who get really upset about labels. I can see their points where so many people try to put themselves in a certain class, or people judge people to soon and label them. But then i also see that a label can be handy when you try to describe someone.

What are your views on labels? Are they good or bad, or both?

    Meh.
Labels are nothing but people identifying with the sub-culture they enjoy.

I might end up buying Odoul's without them. Then it'd be suicide again for me.

I have no problem with labels. I don't know why people make such a big deal about them. No matter who we are, we are all looking for likeminded people - a place to belong. "Labels" facilitate that.

I think labels are just a tool we use to decribe people.. its when they are used to descriminate that they become destructive..peace out!

i dont think its the labels themselves that people dont like, its the stereotypes that come with them. for instance people call me a hippie. they also think i never shower, because everyone knows all hippies never shower. well, i probably shower more than the people with these assumptions. at least once a day, and sometimes twice if i get myself really dirty after ive already showered once.

oh, another thing, i don't like using labels while referring to myself, because then i feel like i have to live up to some standard, rather than just being myself. which in turn would apply a different label: poser.

Wildspirit captured it. I'd rather remain label-less, though. I think labels have the potential to dis-integrate.
