Hello everybody I just wanted to know if anyone who posts here had a real partial or full kundali awakening ? How was it ? How many years of yoga and meditation practice did it take you to experience this ?
Removing it will not undo what has already happened If you really want to do something about human lives then go check out the website and see how you can help them .
Keep the sig pic Half a Hippie. If people find it offensive, it only shows how much they want to bury their heads in the sand. This is happeneing, and it's no use trying to pretend that if we look the other way it will disappear. This is supposedly a hippie forum, with free speech - so I think you have a perfect right to post this pic, or any other. If folks want a nice, 'cleaned up' world where they don't have to view this sort of thing, there's always mainstream media. Or they could try actually doing something about it. Support Amnesty International for example. On the topic of kundalini - I think that in any any kind if experience of 'non-ordinary reality' the kundalini is awake to some degree. My understanding is that the kundalini can awaken all at once, in a dramatic manner, or that the awakening can be a slow process over time, and perhaps more gentle. She comes in many guises...
Well I guess it depends on your interpretation of time. I feel my kundalini has awakened very slowly over a frame of about 5 years(though I didn't know what it was then) and that is becoming much more intense and sudden and that over a time frame of two months it was very dramatic and now 2 more months later that it has slivered back to a more gentle pattern or is it that I am more adapted to it now? These past 4 months herbuh and I have been training in kundalini yoga and that has caused the kundalini explosion in us both, which was an experience all its own, to deal with not only your own awakening but someone else's.
Kundinili is a "dragon" that rests at the base of your spine. It's basically very potent energy inherent in your body. When you have a kundilini awakening this "dragon" wakes up and runs rampant around your body, soul and mind doing a full out, cleansing and healing, revitalising all your bodies energy centers and making your whole being glow. Then the dragon rests again until you stagnate again. It's a pretty awesome experience. A Hindu system coined the phrase "Kundilini" but don't think for a second Yoga is the only way to achieve a Kundilini awakinging. I had mine whilst lying on my sofa contemplating my life, suddenly something in my head clicked and WOOOSH! It was pretty incredible but not at all Yoga based - in fact, (unless you count a tiny bit of chakra meditation I did a long time ago and got nowhere with) I haven't done any yoga at all. I've also heard of Kundilini decribed as a flame, and there is a mystic I visited in Devon a year ago who used it in his healing sessions - he kept telling us to visualise a violet flame, in one of his books he calls this "kundalini fire". I hope this helps Sebbi
A good account can be found in Swami Sivananda's 'Kundalini Yoga'. Available online at: http://www.dlshq.org/download/kundalini.htm
you dont have to do yoga to raise your kundalini...its a force inside of you that sits at the base of the spine (think of a serpent coiled at the base of your spine and as its' curiosity sparks, it stretches upward to check out what is going on). You can raise kundalini by meditation and sex. That would be the point of the kama sutra and of tantra. You probably raise your kundalini quite often without even knowing it. Like when you get excited and feel the chills of adrenalin running up and down and all over you. But the difference is being aware of what is going on. The reason why yoga works to raise the kundalini though, is because of you being centered and grounded and focusing on structured breathing. The same can be achieved through other things as well though.
Meditation is acutually a form of yoga, or can be thus defined. It's not only a question though of awakening kundalini - the energy has to be taken up to the higher centres. The experience then becomes something a bit m ore than chills of adrenalin etc. Trouble with sex as a method of kundalini awakening is that it tends to channel the energy to the lower chakras.
http://www.kundalini-support.com/k-links.html From reading others experiences it can be intense, and many have had nervous breakdowns and have committed suicide. So a big warning should come with it. From my own experience it seems that long periods of meditation will awaken it (concentrating on your breathing for myself, alongside mantras). No yoga. I used to meditate for 2 hour periods everyday and slowly but surely the energy awakened. You will start off with a tingleing at the base of the spine, and then it will unblock areas along the spine, and your body will then kind of spasm when this happens. Meditating after 1 hour seems to be a break in period, it was for me. But after a long meditation period one time it awakened so violently I seemed to seperate from my body, it may sound cool but was in fact extremely scary. The force of the energy basically made me think i was going to die. I have gone to this point a few times, and no warning or talking of it will produce the fear and general horrible feeling of dying that occurs. It isnt pleasant. And takes extreme bravery. Side effects seem to a total detachment from life, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Friends and family may not take kindly to you not being interested in the past times which involved them ect. Upsides seem to be an increase in morality and honesty. But I have slowed down meditation times, and this does seem to solve the problem. But I guess others have gone much further, and cant stop the process. That said, I still have constant ringing in my head from the energy, and the energy is always moving up the spine to the head. So i am unsure whether you can ever go back. If you enjoy your life as it is, I am not sure I would recommend awakening kundalini. Especially not on your own, I would recommend teacher.
this is v sound advice. it's not to be toyed with. esp not on your own. i raised mine when the mars close encounter occured in 2003. some ppl are esp sensitive to this planetary energy, which is traditionally associated with the tantric path. the first time kundalini rose was pretty scary and i thought i might lose my mind. luckily i had a good teacher who helped me through it. i ended up with ringing in the ears too. it's like you say, once you let the genie out of the bottle there's no putting him back. i still exp great jolts of energy through my back and neck sometimes which precede heightened energy bursts and good concentration. you definitely don't need to do yoga or meditation to get in touch with kundalini. some ppl are already switched on to it, they just need a trigger.
some people say you need an awakened person to awaken the energy inyou. Probably what the Christian baptism was meant to be etc. Think the term is Shakipat with Hindu gurus. All i did was meditate for longs periods every day. I think this is the only trigger you need. Internal concentration of any kind for a long period.
I once thought mine had been..then I wasn't so sure, I don't know now either, there are many factors that it could have been..it's said that when it is awakened the self, and your entire life changes..my life has changed somewhat, but not so drastically that I could say my kundalini has been awakened, still, you never know..
i find it scary ......but its the only way 'through' a few dramtic events of earth booming and turning into fire and various visions of hells and destruction and birth...the universe seeming to spread sideways etc etc...phew... it isnt to be toyed with..if you play with it it will fuck you up! you have to be brave, feel safe, and prefferably have a teacher you can ask questions to, or just someon you trust. but the more you deal with it, the more you deal with it...
There's nothing wrong with the kundalini in the lower chakras. it's way better than sick lower chakras while aiming for the stars. I believe the Goddess I saw when I was "enlightened" (and I'm still devoted) is in some way related to the root chakra and she's my light to work the way up. The endocrine system secretes not only adrenaline to give you crack-like feelings. There's a bunch of stimulating and motivating hormones as well as food-burning systems that drastically raise your energy levels. It's neither bad or good, it depends in what area of the mind you direct it (the extremes are over-stimulating instincts/hyperactivity and burnout) . But I'm doing great things in my life with this energy. I don't like the school of thinking where the kundalini (libido, or whatever you call it) is just a ticket to meet God or get supernatural powers.
I've always found with meditation that my eyes water and flutter, and that music plays in my head the whole way through. Sometimes I get a ceaseless pain in my back. Now I've noticed my tearing burns my eyes. Any suggestions?
