I did a similar project in history class a few years ago. Maybe political views, fashion, music, lifestyle are things you should start with. Those are the typical things you touch upon when you report about a group of people.

subcultures is a really good topic. You have loads to talk about hippies...i dont know what level you're studying, but it would be good if you mentioned something about semiotics, you know, this counterculture symbols and characteristics, and everything else that the lizard queen mentioned.

can you include images or is it a straight forward report?

perhaps you could include the impact of the hippie culture on society and the views of different parties about hippies...the important thing is not only making a descriptive report but also being analytical, that gets you the higher marks ;)

At my high school we always had pretty free reports and speeches..... I and always went for the expanding your awareness aspects, like ancient knowledge, those hippies who studied eastern philosophy... thats waht i always did mine about, Timothy Leary!... the spiritual movment within the earthen group, the hippies.
