I was just wondering if this is what the rainbow does on july 4th. If you all do pray for world peace, what would that really look like if it did happen? Does everyone pray to there own interpretation of who or what God is? I'm confused.

it's just a day really. some pray all year round and that's great. some also think concepts like critical mass make sense, that if enough people pray all together at one time that it creates amazing results. That's the point of praying on July 4th. And praying takes many forms, the important thing is intent. so what we have at the moment of noon on July 4th is a shared intent.

each person prays in theyre own way, united in sillence, the energy isso incredible you can feel it from far away, why july 4th? the gatherings started in america, & july 4th was independence day, but for rainbow it took on new meanning, inter-dependence day, a realization that world peace is dependent on us realizing we are all one people, one human race, our particular beliefs origans otr ethnicities do not seperate us, as 1 people we circled in sillence ojn that day at the 1st gathering, & that also beccame our birthday as a family
    i hope that helps explain

What better day to pray for world peace than when we won a war?
    lol

If you want world peace, then pray daily, its not like going to
church on Easter once a year.

actualy we do, but thats the day we pray together, & the 4th isnt the day we won a war, its thre day a paper was signed declaring independence
i wasnt at the 1st gathering, but i doubt the day was picked because of that, it most likely was picked because it was the saturday during the main week

well praying for world peace sounds lovely...I've tried... the only problem there seems to be is human nature.

What I'm wondering is if the rainbows countless spiritual belief systems could be to blame for some of the problems I have been reading about you having. I'm not presenting a prelude to a sermon, I am just curious how one can be a spiritual family if everyone answers to different diety. I am not luring anyone into an "absolute" truth debate, I'm just looking from some feedback from people who know more than I do about it.

i dont think that any of the problems that rainbow faces has anything to do with spirituality. the problems i recognize have a lot more to do with alcoholism, drug abuse and people coming to gatherings who have no sense of community or work ethic or what it takes to run a temporary village in the woods.

Could this lack of work ethic, substance abuse and lack of community be symptoms of a shattered group spirituality. Afterall, what do you have apart from spirituality besides selfishness and pleasure seeking?

But if it is based on the individual pursuit of spirituality, then it negates to incorporate community? I guess what I'm saying is if there is no governing set of morals and ethics, than their can be no legitimate authority of "Senti - Shenta" or whatever it's called. Is it to be assumed that all people have the same understanding of right and wrong? I sincerely ask in search of knowing, not to provoke anyone. It's just that you all seem so close to getting it right.

the only authority og sene sena is the concensus of all..
    our unity is our community
we dont need a set official belief, or a set list of rules
if 1 person feels wronged & calls for sente sena, its up to all to agree or disagre that wrong has been done & whay should be done about it if it has

i know thats not real cear..i need coffee
