    By being open...

open minded - questioning things, seeking out how YOU feel about issues and not just believing everything 'the man' dishes out to you

open hearted - be brave enough to be emotionally open, receptive, compassionate, loving, expressive

open to new experiences - being spontaneous, starting that in little ways, doing something unique and out of the ordinary, expressing yourself creatively, doing the unexpected, gifting yourself in some way to everyone who comes into contact with you

celebrate you and trust the core of you - start with small things and work your way up!

This is not the answer you want but here it is anyway. What I have found in my life is that you must take the steps to provide yourself with an income that will allow you to live without spending all of your time wondering were your next meal is coming from. This may mean school or learning a trade or whatever. Only people with a little leisure can be free. Free in the sense of having the time to read, to think, and the means to communicate with others. I spent a number of years as a young man bumming around the country. Some of it was very good. However, there was a support network of freaks who helped other freaks that is no longer in place. The people I talk to now who are trying to live on the street are existing in fear moving from one meal to the next. That is not freedom.

Yes, you do first need to have your physical security needs looked after (eg not living on the street). But I think we forget that 'freedom' does not have to be 'somewhere else' or at some other time.
Now, every moment, we make decisions about what we think, how we feel, how we will express who we are. Being committed to being who we TRULY ARE is the first step. That takes courage and honesty. It takes self-love and appreciation, because you won't want to share 'you' if you feel ashamed of it or insecure, or scared of how others will react to you.
We all are unique and beautiful and have something to give to this life and this earth which is truly unique and individual. No one else will do things exactly 'our way'. Express that Self. Be and Live.

Goddess Om, I couldn't have expressed it better myself, your maturity is obvious, I can actually feel the vibrations in the air.
“Unfortunately freedom comes with a huge price tag and it is always paid for in blood.”
