Parents being assholes

Apparently smokeing pot will make you; get a girl pregnant, become someones bitch in prison, smoke crack, do heroin, and join some hippie cult. Thats pretty much exactly what my parents told me but in less words. Why do parents have to be such dicks? I'm taking care of buisness but to my parents enjoying yourself is wrong. Sucks growing up in a stereotypical Irish catholic household.

its all true i smoked pot and the next day there was a pregnant girl on my front porch then i went to jail and got passed around like a peace pipe at a powow

 

Parents are one more low hurdle on the path of getting own with your life.

Let's see...I got pregnant (while sober), spent a bit in jail (no shower rape), smoked many interesting things but no crack or heroin, and did run into a few cults, not all of them containing hippies, and managed to avoid joining.

 

I hear you jester/gottssun/paul its just a bitch dealing with them all the time. There on my ass about everything i do, its not just pot. And there latest thing to do is read my profile, my instant message conversations, my myspace, and listen to my phone conversations. I really cant stand it any more. I'm gonna move to a commune or someshit like that.

 

Someone I know said, "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned."



However, I do think you should take steps to insure your internet privacy. I am sure that there is a ton of techies on this forum that would be more than happy to give you chapter and verse. That might be a good thread for you to start. I am sure many young brothers and sisters have the same problem.

The thing about my parents is they dont really care about me, they care about what i do. And i have talked to them about me not having any privacy and there response is "This is our house and we have every right to"

 

You might point out to them that one day you will be the one who gets to pick there nursing home and that you might decide to save a buck or two. (grin)
