It's mostly political/social satire of a bygone england (cleverly disguised as a kids story of course)...if that kinda thing drives yer doolally, go for it :)

I've only seen the movie, but the whole plot of the story seems kinda trippy 2 me. If I was dreaming about caterpillars smoking a bong and eating mushrooms 2 make myself short or tall I would think I had been doing acid or something!

I have read it, and I love it. Definitely trippy (eg. babies turning into piglets). It's one of my favourite books.

I read that book over and over again, and I think its fantastic. I don't think its especially mind blowing, but it all depends on how you interpret it. Its one of those books that can pretty much mean what you want it to mean, in a good way! I would definetely recommend it :)

the book, and its sequel, through the looking glass, was written on a slightly different plane than my brain is on, but not to much. it has value as a political novel, a kids book, a simpleton "that's so silly" series of absurd images and scenarios, a druggie who thinks lewis carrol was one too conspiracy proof, and much more, but not more than one simultaneously. the movie i think is more exhilarating and inspires both a childlike euphoria and reason to be silly and immature and happy, along with a tripped out state of mind appreciation. of cuorse without the book the movie wouldnt exist so i suggest to read it and watch the movie and go on the ride at disneyland while tripping out. well i guess hallucinating is optional, i've never actually done it. can you imagine disneyland on mushrooms?

I read it a while ago...I didn't find it that trippy...
To be honest I don't think I was paying much attention to what was going on...I made a deal with my mum that if I read it in 2 days she'd buy me harry potter...

so i didn't really take much in...

the book had cool pictures though...that I remember :)

I'm one of the few that loves that book. I believe Carroll captured the Victorian period's struggle and confusion through an excellent display of symbols and characters.

Lewis Carrol is a man of extreme genius, both in literature and logic.
