I need to survey ten people on their recreational habits. If you could fill out your answers to the questions, it would be a great help. Yes, I am a procrastinator. What is your definition of recreation? What do you do for recreation (all seasons)? To what level do you do these activities? What prevents you from participating in recreational activities? Do you have enough free time? Explain.
1. not working, but doing something (that can include sitting in my chair and staring at the wall, thinking, just as long as I'm not bored) 2. Play guitar, listen to music; think about things 3. Alot 4. Life (Work, school, family, obligations, deadlines and stuff) 5. No, I do not have enough free time. It seems as though life is just getting prepared to do something and winding down from doing something, and there are very few moments of actual free time where I don't have to think about time and can just be. Sorry if this doesn't make sense and/or the activities don't count as recreation but I'm kind of tired.
Recreation is doing things that you enjoy, on your own time at your own pace. It's personal time. I like to listen to music, go on the computer, write poetry, watch tv and movies, thinking, yardwork/gardening, reading, go biking, play with my dog, go on walks, camp and hike. I'm not sure what you mean by "what level." I'm no expert at poetry or gardening, but I do quite enjoy all my recreational activities (or else I wouldn't do them) The main thing that gets in the way of recreational time is work. It really limits the time I have for doing things because I work afternoons, so from around noon till 10 it seems I'm either preparing from work or just getting off. It also means I can't just up and go camping when I feel like it, and it basically ties me down. I guess I have a lot of free time, but it doesn't feel like enough. It's mostly filled with boredom, because I never feel really free to do anything knowing I have to work in a few hours. Also, there's not much to do in the mornings.
* What is your definition of recreation? Recreation is doing what you like to do. (That includes working, for some people, I guess). * What do you do for recreation (all seasons)? I make music, listen to it, breathe it, I like to run, and write, and read. * To what level do you do these activities? I go all-out. * What prevents you from participating in recreational activities? Homework. * Do you have enough free time? Explain. Generally, I do. The only thing that really keeps me from doing what I want is homework, but I have two study halls every day so I don't really have all that much ever.
What is your definition of recreation? Just having fun in your spare time dong something you enjoy. What do you do for recreation (all seasons)? Mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, swing dancing, running and walking To what level do you do these activities? I mountain bike at least twice a week, hike once a week, go white water rafting about two times a year, swing dance once a week, run every day for about 30 min and walk everyday when I have free time to just wander around and clear my mind. What prevents you from participating in recreational activities? Not having free time in which to do them. Most of the time it's because I have to write a paper for class, read, or work. Do you have enough free time? Explain. I think I have enough free time but I would like to have more. It's like this, I have free time but it's so spread out thru the week that when I have free time it's often only 15 or 30 minutes and not enough time to do anything really. I'll have more free time next semster when I am taking less classes.
What is your definition of recreation? Know most people would consider it simply "play", I however consider it renewal. It's free time for you to readjust your attitude or thinking, or renew your energy. Really it's just time, however you use it, during which you aren't confined by a schedule. What do you do for recreation (all seasons)? I read, write, sleep, listen to music, hang out with friends, talk on the phone, paint, sew, watch television or movies, meditate, play computer games, talk to friends online, try to think of creative things to do (planning a painting, sculpture, photo, etc.). To what level do you do these activities? Depends on the season for most of those things and also on my general mood. I am almost always trying to come up with something creative or executing my plans for painting, etc. What prevents you from participating in recreational activities? Migraines. FMS. Lack of money. Lack of space or lighting. Friends' schedules. Do you have enough free time? Explain. I have too much free time. I don't have a job.
