what music does your parent(s) listen too that you find odd

for instance,
my mother loves rage against the machine
and my father enjoys beck(not so odd but still...)

 

My mom dosent listen to music anymore. at all. unless its on a tv show. she actually watched that stupid inxs show, american idol, other things. She claims her favorite song is "hotel california"

I guess i make her listen to alot of maiden, priest, things of that nature

both my parents usually listen to jazz, the odd time some classic rock.
one day i was driving with my dad and he pulled out a len cd (you know, 'steal my sunshine'?). i found that very odd.

my parents only listen to music when they are driving their cars.

worst cd my mum has is probably kenny G. ive wanted to bash my skull in in the car with her more than once when thats been playing.

my dad listens to old groups like Mister mister, and Mike + the Mechanics. those 2 are probs his favs, i dont mind them so much.

 

my dad listens to connie francis.... lots and lots of connie francis.....

my mom listens to some of the same music I do, I just listen to a lot more

both of em listen to mostly classic rock
what i find wierd is that my dad likes rammstein
and my mom likes opeths damnation album, though as shes listened to it more, she doesnt really like the lyrics

 

hell my dads great, he's the only 48 year old guy know brags about his slip knot concert mosh pit injuries. he grew up on ac/dc, led zep, zz tops etc. and he stil loves the hard stuf. says he wishes they had mosh pits back when he was a kid


but my mom...sigh... three words... clay akin freek. she sits on the computer all day every day reading Clay akin message boards, and doing Clay Akin this and Clay Akin that. I havnt talked to her in while I miss her.

 

My parents listen SOLELY to Christian tunes.

But, every now and then, I've caught my Dad singing CCR or Steve Miller songs while he was piddlin' around...ha ha

 

My dad loves everything.... I mean everything. My mom however gets all hung up on songs that "tell a story"......whoa mom.

 

my mother has HORRIBLE taste in music... oh my god i cant even start. just think about those commercials that say "classic love songs...for the heart...for the mind" and multiply that badness by 20. by dad likes those kind of songs with lyrics like "im druuuuunk and i miss heeer maybe if i wasnt so druuuuuuunk i would have her heeeere" but he likes the dead and can at least *stand* a lot of my classic rock.
my mom was singing "protect me from i want" by placebo, just now... twas weird.

 

nuthing there both in there 70's..

they pretty much sit around an be old farts...

my stepdad listens to country and my mom does as well... but my mom also listens to some classic rock.. like Dr. Hook.. and Cream and The Eagles
