I prefer water and juice to soft drinks and other beverages loaded with sugar and artificial flavoring. But it seems like most of the juices sold at the grocery stores today are made from concentrate and are loaded with sugar and other garbage. They hardly constitute as being juices. More like immitation juices. They also have little nutritional value.

Has anyone had any of the juices by R.W. Knudsen or After the Fall? These are real juices that don't contain added sugar, artificial flavors or preservatives. They are a bit expensive, but, to me, well worth the cost.

I really like R.W. Knudsen's papaya nectar. Their pomegranate and tart cheery juice is also very good.

i've never had R.W. Knudsen before...

but i do know what your talking about with a lot of the juice out right now. its crap, its not juice. even at my work i see it. the campers aren't allowed to have soda of any sort, because we made it a soda free sports camp. but they are allowed to get juice from the vending machine. the problem i see with that - the juice contains more sugar than soda does. thats gross.

if i can, i try to get real 100% juice...its well worth the money i spend on it - its also the juice i hide from my family...

Yep,I've noticed....even the most simple juices, like plain grape juice, have tons of additives. Have you considered buying a juicer to make your own? I'm not sure how cost efficient it would be. Depending on the price of fruit, the price of the juicer, and how much you spend on juice normally. It's kinda fun to make,if you like that sort of thing.

the best juices are still packaged in the fruit or veggie (organically grown please!). eat the entire package, complete with fiber for the most health benefits. when you remove the fiber, you're opening yourself up to the possiblity of getting blood sugar spikes and crashes...the fiber slows down the absorption of the sugars, and helps keep your blood sugar on an even keel. if you really feel the need to drink your fruits and veggies, skip the juicer and head straight to the blender for smoothies!

All I ever drink is juice. Well, sometimes water or alcohol, but the alcohol at least is usually mixed with juice.
