not a solid one, but if you put a large satelite at legrangieu 2 (sp?) or the point of gravatational balance between the earth and the sun it would be fairly gravatationally balanced while not being intergered with by having to actually orbit something, you could cable platforms together in a loose sphere and have elevators from one platform to the other, electromagnets could also be used to keep the thing in shape and move platforms at least I think so, but this is just off the top of my head when I'm dreadfully tired....
how come it took sooo long to build death star 1 [like 15-20 years or whatever] but only a year or two to get death star 2 up and running? i don't think "learning form your mistakes" could hack it...cause the death star design was already in use prior to the clone wars
