Believe it or not I have either curled my eyelashes or combed them after putting on my mascara. I never have done both at the same time. Does anybody do both or is that you really do just do one or another to get the look your after? That is pretty much how I looked at it. Am I wrong? If you do both which do you do first? Am I thinking too hard again?
I have never curled or combed my eyelashes after applying mascara. I don't know why but it freaks me out. *lol* Weird, I know.
I have curled my eyelashes after mascara for the longest time. Now that I have quit wearing makeup, I only curl them when I go out. Curling them after mascara seems to give a spider like look. But then again, at the time, I liked that.
i wouldnt put mascara anywhere near my eyes. have a look at the ingredient list and then look up the ingredients so that you know what they are. ewwww! a little bit of jojoba oil makes my lashes stand out, and i curl them once in a while
I comb, put on mascara, curl and comb again if necessary. Really though, before I put on the mascara, I wipe the brush on the side of the tube to be sure that there is just a little (whatever it is) on the brush so it doesn't clump. I'd rather put on two barely noticable coats than one huge nasty coat.
I curl, apply mascara, then comb. I've always heard that you're supposed to curl before you put on your mascara, the mascara sets the curl.
i don't curl, but I comb if i get any chunkies. only my left eye ever gets clumps and they're easy to fix. curling seems like too much effort to me, heh
rarely i put on mascara. asnd even more raraely i just comb. its all really too much effort. my eyelashes are just as huge as someone with extending mascara on when i dont ahve mascara on
Makeup is a pain in the ass to me and I apply it rather lazily. If I am putting on mascara I just blot the applicator and wipe it over my eyelashes. I do have an eyelash curler, but I don't like how it makes my lashes look so I rarely use it - not to mention I'm not sure if your supposed to curl before or after, so I do it before sometimes and after sometimes lol. I hate how clumpy makes my lashes, but I have blonde lashes that are nearly invisible, and I think mascara makes my eyes stand out so I use it. My mother tells me that I didn't practice with makeup enough as a kid (I was quite the tomboy - stayed far away from makeup) so I don't know how to do it right now. Oh well.
thanks for the answers everyone. I decided to see what I could find on About's Beauty 101 forum. They had a link of the 15 Mascara Tricks & Tips elsewhere on About. Tip #8: Use an eyelash curler BEFORE applying mascara. Curling lashes gives eyes the appearance of being wider & brighter.
I just use a primer then the mascara. Maybe I should get a curler, I like making the most of my lashes. hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
