i have kind of an embarassing situation- i know what alot of you are going to say, its natural just leave it, but i really, really hate it.. i have this hair growing on my chest and around my nipples that is very dark and coarse its also on my tummy, its because when i was growing i shaved it, and now its so gross looking.. when i pluke em or shave it looks to gross what can i do? please i need some kind of advise
Actually there are alot of options. Make an appointment with your dermatologist. there are all kinds of new laser hair removal techniques.
Laser treatment is expensive where I live in the U.K., but as it is becoming more well known and available the prices are coming down. But there are alternatives, what about electrolysis, or if the hair on your tummy isn't too coarse bleaching it? If you can manage it, going to whatever the U.S. equivalent of a beauty salon is would be a good idea and get some quotes. If you have other excess hair problems it might be worth visiting your doc to get it investigated, just in case you have some hormonal problem that is triggering this off. Finally I looked at your gallery, you are really beautiful, I know this problem may be pulling a bit at your self-esteem, but honestly you're looking good!
I would suggest maybe seeing your dr., too. You may have too much testosterone (sp?). I sometimes get a stray nip hair. But just like one every once and a while. I just pluck and don't worry about it.
haha. i used to just burn my hair off. it stopped growing back. i used to ahve the hairiest damned arms, but i singed the hair off a few times over the stove and they're not so bad anymore. but i wouldn't recommend it if you're a klutz.
no, not at all. the flame didn't have to be any closer than to warm my arms, but the hair singed off. smelled horrible, but i was being teased unmercifully about my arm hair, but i wasn't allowed to do the "beauty thing." (shaving, waxing, etc.)
see a doc to make sure your hormones and such are in line, then look to removing what you have for now. polycystic Ovary syndrome can cause hirstutism
In the mean time, use depilatory creams around sensitive areas like your nipples, near your pubic area as well but cut excess hair as close to the skin then shave. For the long term, save money to get it lasered off. After a few treatments the hair will never come back. It sn't cheap but for someone like you it would be worth it, as it sounds like a real pain. Google the different hair removal procedures before you decide.
