I've never had a drug test before so I have a question. Say I had to go to the hospital to get blood work for thyroid,etc. and I had shit in my system(pills,weed). Would they be able to do anything about it if I wasn't being tested for drugs, or do they have to specifically be looking for drugs? Thanks.
They have to do specific tests to find drugs in your system, but even if they found any drugs in your system I don't think they could do anything about it. You might want to get a second opinion because there could be different policies for different locations.
Dude, just ask them. Its not like you will get in trouble for asking if a blood test tests for drugs too. Eather way, inless there spacifically testing for drugs, they cant tell anyone if drugs turn up on the test. If they do, they lose they're license.
You need to sign a waiver (it's called informed consent) to do any tests, including drug tests. And then you have to sign another waiver to have the results released to anyone. So, they can't just sneek a drug test in on ya if you parents request it (assuming you are over the age of 15)
