Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

When your character "CJ" opens up the second Island to do missions on He'll get a phone call after a couple of the first missions. "The Truth" will tell you to meet him at a hotel in a secluded part of town. When Cj arrives there he walks in and sees the crooked cop(who is the badguy of the game) smoking a bong and talking shit to him. Truth comes in and says "blah blah blah i want you to sell this pot for me. go get some money" well now you can do missions for him. Heres the point: "the truth" acts like this spaced out moron. Hes paranoid and spouts off all kinds of psychobabble bullshit. Plus he uses classic hippies phrases and drives a trippy looking van and even calls himself a hippie in one scene....but he makes hippies look horrible. He talks about all this major conspiratorial shit and has a large pot farm and dresses like a bum. just thought you guys might find this interesting, in a videogame that encourages cop killing, car jacking, gang mentality, and drugs...they take the time to make a fucked up version of a hippy.

i loved playing that part of San Andreas! When you burn the plants you get high.

I played the game and i admit it bummed me out, just like when hippies are sterotyped in many other instances but as i got older i realized that there is nothing you can do about it. People are afraid of the freedom we represent and have to supress it with put-downs and sterotypes
