What do you guys think of Warren with the Dead? I love it, I think Warren adds alot to the Dead without trying to be Jerry. I love to hear Warren's slide and some of that southern rock sound. I have, however, seen people boo him at Shoreline. It never occurred to me that some people would dislike Warren. So, what do you guys think?
I think the people who booed should consider what they will be doing when The Dead decide they won't play anymore for ashpots who boo. I can't imagine that they like hearing that directed at someone they chose to have on stage. Ya know, you just don't walk up on The Dead's stage without their blessing and invitation. Warren is one hell of a musician, a strong singer, and an asset to anybody he plays with. He's one of the great ones. I guess some people will not be happy until Jerry returns (sorry) from the dead.
wtf, yea your right he's no jerry, but i think he is one of the best gitiar players alive. if you are one of the best you shouldnt be booed
i was at Red Rocks on the 16th, wednsday, it was amazing, my first dead concert and i pray to any/everthing it won't be my last warren came out and soloed for like an hour, it was great, then him singing his sound i could have danced for five more hours, listened to the drums and space then danced another five best night of my life and warren, he isn't jerry, but in his own special way he is just as good, in my opinon and anyone, who boos is an ignorant fool just thinking about that night gives me shivers.........
I'm a huge fan of Warren's work, and of course I absolutely adore the Dead. I would absolutely LOVE to see him with the Dead, but my mom decided to schedule our vacation on the day they come here. Oh well.
