If you had access to a time machine and it had the capability of taking you to ANY Concert that has passed---What FIVE CONCERTS would YOU HAVE IT TAKE YOU TO? Oh and you can take 3 Drugs too!!! LOL Hey!
1. The Monterrey Pop Festival '67 2. Rolling Stones - Madison Square Garden '69 3. Bob Dylan - at a NY coffee house around 1962 4. Brian Jonestown Massacre - Sometime in '96 or '97 5. John Lee Hooker - sometime in the late '50's/early 60's i'd probably just bring a big jug of wine with me.
OK Forget to do mine.... 1) The Doors at Dade County when he whipped his dick out! 2) The 1973 Led Zeppelin Concert at Madison Square Garden 3) Woodstock 1969 Again. 4) Montery Pop Fest 5) Isle Of Wight Drugs 1) Acid 2) Nepalese Temple Balls 3) Thai Sticks and my Honey - Rider
1. The Who - Leeds University Concert 1970 2. Woodstock 1969 3. Isle of Wight Festival 4. Monterney Festival 5. Bob Dylan - First Electrical Concert 1966 All you need is lots of beer with that kind of music.
I would do a time-trip to see my favorite band The Black Crowes. February 2nd,1997 The Garage,London - the Black Crowes only played 3 acoustic shows in their career and this one had 2 sets with alot of covers including Gram Parsons's "She" "Hot burrito 1&2" & Bob Dylan's "Girl From The North Country" :H July 7th,1993 Paradiso,Amsterdam - the best concert I've ever seen and I would give my left testikel to re-live those 3 hours again. The Crowes played 6 songs that should have been on the never released "Tall" album and the rest of the songs were all jammed out to 10-20 minute versions :H December 15th ,1996 The Joint,Hardrock Hotel,Las Vegas - guest appearances of Warren Haynes and Allen Woody on the Allman Brothers's " Dreams" Dylan's "Girl From The North Country" and Little Feet's "Willin' " March 2nd,1995 Beacon Theater,New York - opening with Rich and Chris only doing acoustic versions of "Cursed Diamond" and Gram's "She", a 20 minute "Thorn In My Pride" and a few of my favorites "Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye", "My Morning Song" ," High Head Blues" and " She Gave Good Sunflower". June 24th,2000 World Theater,Tinley Park - got to pick one of the shows with Jimmy Page on "The Tour of Tours" , the European leg was canceled because of Jimmy Page's bad back so I never got the chance to see them doing Led Zeppelin,Yardbirds and Faces songs.
I'm not sure about the dates, and I'm not gonna look em up, so yeah. But if I could: Oasis live @ MTV Studios, sometime in 1996, for their famous "Unplugged" show. Liam had "a sore throat" and Noel got to sing all the songs.. awesome awesome. And I would've loved to see them play live after the release of their second album. then obviously Woodstock, and the 67 Monterey Pop Festival. Its too bad the Stone Roses weren't around long enough to tour and play their second album live... my last pick goes to The Beatles, shortly after A Hard Day's Night was released.
I just have heard so much bullshit about "what happened" it would be nice to see it go down firsthand and judge for myself.
(Concerts listed in Random order; Drugs are not) 1) Zeppelin '73 Madison Square Garden, NYC 2) Woodstock '69 3) U2 (any of the dates for the Rattle and Hum tour) 4) Monterey Pop Festival 5) The Doors (I don't care which concert, because I'd be so blown away to even be seeing them at all it wouldn't matter, but if I could pick, the one where Jim displayed his Lizard King) Drugs: 1) LSD!!!! 2) Grass 3) Hashish
Woodstock '69 muddy waters at newport 1960 robert johnson it doesn't matter where Monterey Pop Festival bob marleyat the Lyceum Ballroom in London 1975

Hummm Have you ever been to Mt Washigton in New Hampshire with your Scoot? It's a great ride up the Mountian and maybe something closer you can do etc. I would do weekend trips as long as I could find a motel where I could roll my bike into my first floor room so no one ripped it off. Having kids though can make it hard. All three of mine are older now and I will get another bike soon and make up for lost time. Peace
that was gonna be one o' my picks, prodigious! so that leaves me with four... hmmm 1) the grateful dead at the fillmore west on 11-19-1966 2) allman brothers at the fillmore east (any o' the times they were there) 3) id liked to have ridden on the festival express train 4) the beatles at shea stadium and as for my three drugs... 1) acid 2) more acid 3) even more acid
1, 2, 3, 4, 5) Satyricon & Nocturno Culto headlining Wacken Open Air 2004 Drugs: none, but massive amounts of alcohol afterwards.
Ah yes, that was a cool concert indeed. :H I'd like to visit a Black Sabbath concert after they released Master of reality, an early 70's Led Zeppelin concert. Also the Isle of Wight and Woodstock are on my list when my time machine is finished.
