    I know you ppl got different opinions about music (like, different styles; rock, rave, hardrock, trance ... ) and i'd like to know what most of you think is the best...

    Though that's a really broad term to use there. And isn't metal technically rock?

    i'm kinda into folksy kinda stuff like bob dylan, john prine and all that stuff and the hawksley workmen and erin smith band(those last two are canadian bands). oh and what the hell is black metal?

    I have a new found respect for usher after his song burn and confessions plus i like jojo she can actually sing unstead of having a computer sing for her like most artists these days

    dude i'm all for the 60's & 70's rock...the beatles black sabbath the who the doors ac/dc jimi hendrix robin trower led zeppelin.
    they just seem to be way better than todays music i dunno.

    Meh, I love so many kinds of music. I've chosen rock, but I also like most other things in the list (except for hiphop and too commercial, empty pop music).

    hey, im from a small conservative town in tennessee too... sucks doesnt it. and what are you classifying as punk, cause real punk is awesome (i.e. the damned, the sex pistols, black flag, bad religion...), but if youre callin stuff like 'good charlotte' and 'simple plan' punk... that could be where your problem is man...
