    I wouldn't really call The Doors psychedelic, but since they're probably the greatest American band, you could put them in any genre and i'd still say that they were better.

    i chose jefferson airplane, for obvious reasons... okay, the 'greatest amerikan band ever'? listen to more music my friend, cause the doors are definately NOT where its at. if i believed in god, i would pray for... but i dont, so i guess ill just laugh...

    Jeferrson Airplane and Doors rock...both do.

    Both are gods.

    Dam,n , I had to go for morrison and co. though, just because they are morrison and co....man, they are the fookin' DOORS!!!!

    I haven't heard enough Airplane, so I'll have to side with doors. Both are really great, though.

    A lot of people seem to like hating on the Doors...

    I also love "Rejoyce"...very psychedelic.
