Anyone else looking foreward to the Serenity movie? I've been waiting for almost a year, since I first heard it was in production. Yeah Joss!
My Husband and his brother are so stoked about it, I watch the show from time to time with him when I'm not busy but its not one of my favs. I may go with them this friday to see it cause I love going to the movies even if I'm not super excited about what I'm going to see
Ohhh! Do I win the prize for biggest geek? haha. Being jazzed about a scifi movie so removed that even other geeks aren't excited!? lol.
LOL! I'm sooooooo excited about the Harry Potter movie coming out this November! *blushes* yeah I'm a major Geek
hehe I know it gave me goosebumps too it looks sooo dark, they've gotten better with each one IMO this one looks so great! I saw the preview for it a few months back on a website and my husband actually said he thought it looked really good and was looking forward to seeing it with me! he went to see the last one with me just so I would have someone to go with and cause I usually go see movies that he's interesting even if I'm not, anyway he really liked it compared to the previous two he said he enjoyed it cause it seemed way darker (azkaban had a different director didn't it?) hehe when we went to see azkaban the theater was fill with adults and not as many young kids as you would think, I felt better knowing I wasn't the oldest there! lol
YOu know, I didn't like Azkaban as much as the others. I think because it was more matter of fact about the magic, while the others were more "WOW! I'm Magical". This new one looks like a marriage of the others.... but maybe because there was sooo much magic and mermaids and quiddich it couldn't help being Magical? My hubby came with me to the last one too, because I made him for the same reason you mentioned. My friends back home are Potterphiles too, so don't feel bad! haha.
just saw the movie and all I have to say is, its worth the price of the ticket. I think its the best movie of the year, well this and Harry Potter 4.
I really enjoyed it. I think it helps if you were a fan of the original show, but other than maybe not completely understanding the concept of the Companion, I think the film stands on its own. Fun film.
Wow this thread has gotten really off topic. Anyways.. I really want to see Serentiy. I've never watched a single episode of the show, but the reviews of the movie that I read were so great that they convinced me to check it out. The only problem is I'm too poor to go see it right now. I'm waiting for it to be released on the net, which should be anytime now
Yeah, I loved the movie too, but knew I would. It was nice to see Captain Tight Pants and the rest in action again. Got a little damp in the eye region a couple times, but such is life. Joss isn't happy if he doesn't kill someone!
