How the hell are we suppose to pick a winner. My Storm are gone. The Tiger haven't won a final as a merged team and the Cowboys haven't won a final, although both Wests and Balmain have. I hate qld teams though I guess it'll be easier if one guy thumps another or one team plays dirty, that way you'll know who to go for. It won't beat the AFL final though. GO VIC
Awww me so sad i could cry lots.... it was a good game though..just devastating for the poor boys! I grew up near where MAtty Bowen grew up (Hopevale) and read his story in the Sunday mail..also used to live in TOwnsvile so i really wanted them to win! Always next yr!
It's a disgrace that Bowen wasn't picked in the roos squad. I'm a VIC, but what does the little genius have to do. Love the way he runs with the ball in one hand
OMG...who is that. I live in Townsville and the whole week...The townn just stopped and went beserk (im not kidding). I am also a mad Cowboys supporter and have missed a total of six games in my life since the Cowboys were entered into the NRL. Where was I Grand Final Night? I was at the Cowboys Leagues Club in Townsville cos there was no way that I was staying home to watch the game and I just had to go out...lol As the Cowboys lost to a team that is lead by a 5/8 that should be playing Netball...I think that I am going to be in denial for the next twelve months...lol Don't worry, The Cowboys will win it next year...Mark my words peeps.
Cos the ARL pick the ones that A - are mainly NSW players (re State of origin) B - have pretty looks. Besides...At the NRL judiciary, there are two rules 1 - Those who play for NSW (re State of origin - again) 2 - Another rule for everyone else (especially Queenslanders) I am refering to what Trent Barrett from St George Illawarra Dragons got compared to what Carl Webb from the North Queensland Cowboys got...It was the same thing - Barrett did the same thing that Webb did and only got a week suspension... What I also don't like is that Jonathon Thurston didn't even get picked in the Kangaroos side as he was the Dally M player of the year...They had to pick Shane Warne the Second (Im talking about Andrew Johns of course cos he acts like a spoilt brat on the field - just like Warnie does)...IMHO
Worthy players are always left out for whatever reason. They can tend to go on past performance as well which is annoying. How much does it really matter if a guy played well a year ago or CAN play well in rep footy. What does matter is the players who are playing well at the time of the comp. The Broncos has a shitty finals series but Lockyer was still picked in the rep team. WRONG. I don't care if he HAS played well, he hasn't for a while. But in league, some things don't change, like Bennett will always pick Drongo players regardless. This is why people have gone of the game.
