    Hello Everybody,
I am working in software firm. From last few days I am suffering from breathlessness, chest tightness and coughing. When I visited my family doctor he told me that I am suffering from asthma. He has prescribed me Ventolin. I want to know how effective drugs in treatment of asthma are. Please help me. I will appreciate any information in this context.

There is no cure for asthma.
It can be controlled with drugs, but those drugs aren't good for you. Prolonged ventolin use can cause emphasema (sp?)....and you may need steroids.

It's caused by many different things, if you can find out what causes yours you could avoid attacks. Usually allergies are the problem.

yeah no medicine can cure asthma like daisy said. actually, asthma isnt even one disease... like the cold so that is part of the reason why.

i would look up natural ways of dealing with it as well as having an emergency allopathic way to handle it.

I have found in my own experience exercise built up my tolerance to... exercise, so no more exercise educed asthma for me. I still have trouble when I become ill (bronchitis etc). I've heard that reducing milk consumption can help, but I wouldn't know first hand.

yep ive heard that cutting dairy out, eating little or no red meat helps... as well as instaling an air filter in the house, and taking a natural product called quercetin.

it does help, destro. I have to cut radically back when I get the slightest allergy/cold.
    almost vegan by default!
caffeine is a bronchio-dialator, so I do get to have one soda. haha.
I also up the spice another notch. I don't know if it really helps, or if I just like the spice buzz! ;P

There is a cure for asthma, and its natural...
Kevin Trudeau tried to patent these cures but, the American Medical Association, Federal Trade Commission, The Food and Drug Administration, and the pharmaceutical cartels are suppressing information about natural remedies and natural cures for virtually every disease by sueing him, and some how, won the law suites.
Also Includes Herpees, Certan types of Cancers, Tummers etc. etc.
    This is the guy here...
