    Hi,
I have to teach a book-length Neil Simon play to a high school English (honors) class, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what his best work is. I think it should be comedic, because that is more likely to keep their attention.

I was thinking maybe Last of the Red Hot Lovers??

The Odd Couple is easily Neil Simon's best play.
I have seen numerous versions of it both pro and amateur and it is always funny

white raven, try to get a copy of "Rewrites," by Neil Simon, (book or audio cassettes may be available at your public library). In this autobiography, Simon talks a lot about how The Odd Couple and other works were developed. It's very interesting background.
