man it pisses me off that we have to have a fucking permit to petition. That's not a protest, that's a goddam parade.
It's something I ask because Iraq seems to supercede the political ideologies of many Americans right now for reasons which are difficult to fathom. Many people who claim to be libertarian are in support of the U.S. in Iraq. Libertarianism, in general, doesn't support government intrusion into domestic affairs of people, let alone involvement in other counties. Yet U.S. involvement in Iraq seems to supercede these principles. The U.S. involvement in Iraq supercedes other values also. Many conservatives who would otherwise be for financial accountability see no problem in spending a staggering amount of money on Iraq without knowing how it's all going to be paid for. .
Feel free to take the liberty to explain. I'm just curious about what it is about Iraq that is seen as so critical that it causes libertarians and conservatives to forego their traditional values. I can understand liberals wanting the government involved in other countries but not libertarians. .
I'm not an expert on the libertarian party. Just for the sake of argument, can anyone name some popular libertarian politicians/leaders and what their views are about invading/occupying Iraq? Are most for it? Most against it? Just curious. .
