Since we are on the subject, has anyone ever used crunched up potato chips for breading? I just did up some dear cube steak and had some dill pickle potato chips I crushed up for breading and it was good as hell.

never did. i'll keep it in mind. i really like marinating my elk steaks (the lesser quality cuts) in italian dressing overnight. dave says it ruins the meat, but he's a purist. just salt, pepper and garlic for him.
