How would you describe it?

Ok, if you had to describe bein high to someone who has never done it how would you do it? And i don't mean any of that bullshit answers like "it's the greatest feeling in the world" or "it's awsome!!". I mean, realy descriptive. if you want to you can just talk about a part of it, like listening to music, munchies, or something like that. The first time i got high i knew it wasn't quite what i expected and it just seems so hard to put into words. what do u guys think?

 

your brain is elevated and u feel tall...u feel like u can percieve and figure out anything and u have an extremely short attention span. i usually feel, literally, high.

but thats just me.

 

It's different for everyone. You never know until you smoke. Some people don't even like being stoned. All you can tell somebody is to try it if they are curious, they might like it and they might not. It will make some people feel more in tuned with thier minds and thier bodies, and it will make some people feel like they are stupid as shit. Some people can perform everyday tasks better when they are stoned, and some people can't do anything but chill when they are stoned.

 

for me its feels like i'm very relaxed, calmed, open to thoughts and very sensitive to any stimuli either external or internal.
physically, your body feels sensitive...but in a good way if you are relaxed and in a good emvironment. it feels like you are floating and like you're very aware of things that when you are sober are not as obvious.

 

its feels like my head is lighter. like the weight of the brain has vanished. i feel happy. its like things are going in slowmotion and sometimes realy fast.

 

I seem to have a very different high then other people, I would describe my highs as mildly psychedelic, IE: highly emotional, creative, meditative and spiritual. I also see (closed eyed visuals) and imagine things that unfortunatly I can't possibly describe to you, because they're so surreal.

But you never know how weed will effect you until you try it, everybody is different, not to mention everybody gets different strains and species of weed.

 

For me, I feel really trippy. All the feelings and sensations you get from an acid trip without the visuals. My spine even tingles. I feel very creative and positive in a deep way. Everything is right. Nothing is wrong. It's both a physical and mental experience. High till I die, smoke till I croak.

 

everything i hear sounds wierd. like when you listen to a recording of yourself, everything sounds like that. my concentration sky rockets, the best example i can give is when i was stoned and i watched the simpsons. i didn't see characters, instead i saw shapes and drawings. another example is when you listen to music you hear every layer of the song.

sometimes i get a slow motion effect, although this could just be the increased concentration making everything seem like it is slower than it really is.

i always get 'sensations' inside myself. its a really nice feeling, its not like being touched on your skin, its like someone is touching you inside. sounds freaky but it is the most fantastic feeling

i sometimes get the giggles. its not the normal giggles where you have a little bit of self control - this is uncontrolable and even looking at someone makes you piss yourself.

you can 'escape inside music'. you feel the music and it moves you so much more than usual.


thats all i can think of right now, but no doubt it is the best feeling i've ever experienced.

 

weed compared to other drugs is hard to explain...the BEST example by far imo of explaining drug use is giving somone a example of being on shrooms

there is nothing that is EXACTLY like tripping on shrooms, besides the scene in Fear and Loathing when he is on Acid in the casino and the floor is Swirling and moving

that is the 1 thing i could show to somone who has never done shrooms and be like yea...thats exactly what it's like

 

I turn into a lazy-assed eating machine. I babble non-stop about pointless things, and go into long, endless stories which either don't have any meaning whatsoever or I just forget halfway through it what the fuck I was talking about in the first place. I AM A RETARD STONER!

Also, sometimes I get this wierd thing where everything is making a high-pitched noise overtop of everything else that is making noise... Like it'll be 2am and I'll have my stereo cranked all the way up cuz I don't notice how loud it is.

 

This is an impossible task, but I'll try. First, your body becomes very sensetive. Touching feels great. Your mind starts to think very laterally and freely, it's a very different kind of thought, for me, it seems less language based, and more like a silent understanding. Like, there's still words when I think (like the voice in your head) but that seems like a very surface part of a thought that goes much deeper. The word is not the totality of the thought...which is probably why it's hard to remember what your ideas were sometimes, since your focus is on the deeper, more total aspect rather than just the lingual part.

Also, your sensory perception is much different. You feel more connected with everything, music takes on dimensions you never knew existed. Colors are brighter or somehow more "real" looking. Everything seems to flow, including yourself...you tend to sway and dance to the music, be it real music or the music of the world.

Time loses any sense of standard or constancy. It's purely subjective: sometimes it feels like an hour has gone by and it's only been 3 minutes, or sometimes it feels like 3 minutes has gone by when it's been an hour. I'm beginning to think that the idea of a standardized time scale is false and even harmful for us in some way. But that's a whole other post, a whole other stoned rambling...

 

tell me more. stoned ramblings are fascinating. i kinda think the same as you abut the standardised time scale. when i'm high i concentrate so intensely on things, i see the 'truth' in things - e.g. seeing the simpsons as drawings not as people. so in theory i can see the truth in time when i'm high...

To me, it depends on the setting, but the usual setting is chillin' in my house with friends...sooooo

I basically feel like a clay animation movie, everything feels like the way it looks under a strobe light, sans light...and then I hear things that aren't happening...like my friends will be on the other side of the door and I think I'll hear them talking and running around and stuff and then I'll open the door and they're just sitting there...I feel highly paranoid...yet I combat that by telling myself not to care cause it's my house...everything tastes better than usual, yet, if it tastes bad sober, it tastes worse now...music seems to run through my blood as if it were pumping my arteries...I can feel guitar chords traveling up and down my spine and I feel drums in my stomach...I sit and think of the most wonderful things and write them down on paper, things ranging from how my socks determine the temperature of my entire body, all the way to whether or not the Universe has an end...I can debate politics better when high than any other time...I feel a connection with those around me, it feels as if peripheral vision is gone and whatever I focus on becomes all encompassing...people have a more beautiful posture to them, everyone seems and acts like a movie all choreographed and played out well...my sense of touch is increased and everything is amazingly comfortable...my sense of pain dwindles and it all usually ends in one amazing nap.

God I Love Weed.

 

a) Depends on how many times you've smoked

b) Depends on the quality of the weed

c) Depends on the strain (each have their own unique high)

d) Depends on how you react to it...

Its different for everyone.. like someone said earlier... you cant know what it feels like until you've actually tried it =)

 

I think that being stoned - our primordial, natural state, & when you're smoking, you just return to yourself your real appearance. You see everything without any limits & laws, the world as it is. The weed set you free from your surface appearance & your eyes become eyes of angel that set you free....

 

there really is no point describing it to someone. first of all, its totally physically impossible for them to COMPREHEND what weed is like till they try it; as with other drugs but weed sorta the most.. (at least from what ive tried) because not only is it something theyve not experienced before, but their preconception on weed is gonna be that it makes you dumb, childlike, unco, reclusive, as their made to believe from the media and perspective on stoners from normal cultures.

you cant explain weed to someone, you can only show them. ONLY!

 

it feels like an undescribable feeling of creativity and just view everything really. Sometimes i can imagine floating through just fields of space when im high.

 

The first time i did it I described it as a consious dream.
