I had to try them out for myself, and they seem to work excellently. I have a recipe for making your own baby wipes. Thinking I'm probably not the only money challenged (is that politically correct?) person in here, this might help.

    Here is what you need:
    2 tablespoons baby oil
    2 tablespoons baby shampoo
2 cups hot water (from tap)
1 roll of bounty or another well built paper towel (the cheap ones fall apart)
    1 empty ice cream bucket

Mix oil, shampoo and water. Cut paper towel in half (I found this to be the difficult part) and pull out the cardboard piece from the middle. place 1 half of the roll in the bucket, and pour the mix over the top. let it sit over night before using. Pull your wipes from the middle of the roll

Hope this helps, it isn't very good for the diaper bag, but if you took some of the sheets and folded them yourself it would work. I also have a recipe given to me by my doctor on how to make your own Nasal saline wash, let me know if you are interested

Being a daddy is going pretty good. We went back to the hospital the other day, but my wife can't get or cast off for a few more weeks. It is kinda rough on both of us, and she is starting to get depressed because she can't really do much and it is hard for her to get around. She can't Carry the baby, and she feels like all she does is feed him. Not totally true, but you know how it is when you start feeling down. Over all though, every thing is going good. Nothing makes me happier than holding my son, especially when he looks up at me and gives his half smile. He loves getting his feet rubbed and usually gives you a smile for it, I can't wait for when he learns to laugh! He has ticklish knees and armpits.

To save even MORE money (I'm financially challenged too!), you can make your own cloth wipes. Good for the environment too.

I cut mine out of receiving blankets and hemmed the edges. Then I put them in a container of water, baby wash, and baby oil. After use, I put them in a bucket (with lid) of water and vineger until ready to wash.

Also, HippyLandscaper, you mentioned about taking the homemade wipes in the diaper bag......you can put the liquid mixture in a spray bottle and carry dry wipes (cloth or disposable). Then just spray down the cloth and wipe the booty! You will want to make sure you have a wetbag to put the used wipes in though.....or if you use cloth diapers, you can just throw it in with them.

You can also put the wipes in a ziplock bag in the diaper bag so they are ready to use.

Thats a good idea, we are trying to cut corners everywhere we can because I am planning on getting all of our bills paid off by the end of the year. Thanks everyone.
