Gotten in a discussion with anyone about Fahrenheit 9/11? You can argue and dispute this way and that till you drop dead. So what's the bottom line? The last word? Given all the facts of the past four years, Fahrenheit 9/11 is an excellent film everyone should see. Given the reality of the situation, it's a work no one can afford to miss.
I have no respect or liking for Michael Moore, but I guess I'll pick up the bootleg on my way to work tomorrow. I mean, it can't be any worse than Episode II right?
definitely see the movie. It's the likes of the ignorant sleep-walkers such as yourself that need to see it most of all. Then somehow convince your corporate minions to see it with you...it might begin to stir the stupidity from your con$umer-induced braincells.
I wouldn't call Max ignorant. But honestly, it is a really good film. You don't see Michael in it but 1-2 times. The rest is interviews, and video clips of the administration. It is a really good movie, and brings to light some really good points. Plus it is really funny at the end.
Michael Moore shows the temperature where freedom burns! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/combined Perhaps the most damaging footage shows Bush on September 11, sitting in a Florida classroom for a full seven minutes after he had been told that the second tower had been struck, and that it was clear the horrific events in New York were a terrorist attack, not a tragic accident. Moore lets this moment go on and on: The president, stone-faced in front of dozens of schoolchildren, doing absolutely nothing, as our nation comes under attack. Hopefully, this scene will take away the "war president" lie. The never-elected punk isn't qualified to referee a cock-fight, much less lead the world in a war against Al Qaeda.
You know what's really ingnorant? Coming to a forum with 12 posts and flaming people. Am I ignorant for disliking someone like Michael Moore? Sorry, I didn't realize that love for extreme political zealots like Moore was a prerequisite for being an informed individual.
You didn't? Now, you should have known that only when you like who we think you should like, can you truly be an informed individual. Peace
The evidence showing that Bush had arranged the 9/11 attack was overwhelming. Moore presents so many facts that I learned a few new ones. It was a mind scramble of information. I think Moore is right on the money. The poor here were swindled into attacking the poor in Iraq WHO HAD NOTHING TO WITH THE 9/11 ATTACK. Moore backs up what he says. One of the things that amazed me is that the Saudis own about 6% of America. Those fuckers are so rich, they can do no wrong here!!! http://www.bushnews.com/attack.htm When Republicans are heavily invested in weapons manufacturing and have the power to decide if America goes to war, PEOPLE WILL DIE.
Yes, and "Bush Watch" is surely a reliable news source dedicated to bringing us the unbiased truth..........
No, what is ignorant is your flaming of someone who acts as courageously and vigorously as he does to expose the liars for who they are. He may be a zealot, but at least he's honest. Who do you support? And about my 12 posts...the reason is because the website was shut down then re-opened under this new forum (which I hate by the way) so that's why I don't post often. However I've been a member of the hipforums since the year 2000 and have posted probably close to 10,000 times since the onset of my membership. Go read a book. One that I strongly recommend is "Exception to the Rulers" by Amy Goodman.
Umm.. by 'honest' you mean having viewpoints similar to you? right? Cause he does use juxtaposition, editing techniques (he uses the best parts of the interviews for people he likes and the worst parts for people he doesn't, the daily show is the master at this, but in an honest ((i.e satirical)) way), ironic music and some really gimmicky stunts that i'm sure sounded like a good idea at the time (BFC's final scene). But it does bash the whitehouse alot, and i like that cause i have a deep psychological hatred for Bush.
Yeah, as Much as a Loved Farenheit 9/11...When they have a scene of Bush waving to somebody and then have Scary Music in the background, of course your first instinct is going to be "wow, that guy is scary, i don't like him..." but really, he is showing no reason in that scene why you shouldn't like him, and there was A LOT of that in Farenheit 9/11, but on the other hand, there were parts that made a lot of sense, and showed the Truth that many people need to see. I recommend EVERYBODY see it, even if you are the most conservative, right wing, republican, you should see it, because after all....if Sean Hannity made a movie, i would go and see it just to make fun of it, so all the conservatives should go and laugh at Moore's Movie, i GUARANTEE you will be entertained and it will be worth every dollar. Peace and Love, Dan
MaxPower has posted probably some of the most intelligent posts on this forum and your responses just reflect on how ignorant you really are. It is really quite strange, from an outsiders view to see you call Max right wing clearly shows how extremely left wing you all are. Revmystic. I think you are a flamer. In more ways than one.
Thank you kind person. Finally someone who doesn't think I'm a fascist nazi. You will be rewarded with women and booze upon your arrival to Valhalla. May the forces of evil become confused and disoriented on the way to your house.
If by "courageously and vigorously" you mean "biased, one sided, partial anf hypocritical" and by "honest" you mean "lying sack of shit," then call me ignorant. God damn, is it so hard for you people to understand the idea of being moderate? Independent? Taking no part in pre-packaged predetermined political ideals and judging for yourself on the issues, rather than have your opinions fed to you via biased documentaries? Heh, my bad. Too many flaming noobs around here to try and decipher who's posting irrelevant drek and who's serious. I'll look into it.
Isn't amazing how you can present so many facts and so much evidence and people can still rationalize whatever they see before them as "opinion"?! I can only laugh at the dark circus America has become and it's lead clown. So Sorry, when King George means to donate money to faith based charities, it is the TeleEvangilists who will get the lion's share, not Odin.
Do you think that if a country like hmmmm Russia, decided that ohh lets see Chechnya(sp) was a habourer of know terrorists and had weapons of mass destruction the world or the US would allow Russia to invade and occupy this country, oh wait did that allready happen.... There is no country on this earth or an world orginisation that is strong enough to say no to the US. Iraq was occupied on lies, and the thing that frustrates a lot of people around the world is there is no accountabitlity for this, any other country would have sanctions or be condemned by the UN, or worse, but not the US. Nothing is done about it, at all,its criminal. so who is here to police the US, the only consequence of this unbelievable bullshit is ridding yourselfs of a president that can't think for himself, what president in any country would sit idly by and listen to a childrens book when he/she was told that there countries financial district was being attacked by terriorists. im glad that footage was shown, because it wasnt shown when the attacks happened, i would be ashamed that this man was my leader. So the best thing about Moore's movie is it shows Bush, through all its instrimental music and rhettorical questioning, as a very stupid, dishonest, corrupt man.
I am not defending Bush but the time he took to finish the story was needed to assess the situation and coordinate a safe, non-panic exit to AF1. There was a little bit more going on behind the scenes than one would think. I wonder how many words he mispronounced while reading that childrens book?
