our moral dilemna,,advice needed...

So we all know that the serf fall gathering is quickly approaching..

Today we received word that the post cards are printed (over 400) and should be here whithin a couple days for us to mail out as we agreed that we would at council..

Yet we know SO many of the brothers an sisters who are working so hard on the gulf coast relief efforts ,,, we just wanna say fuck our lil gathering and encourage everyone to head down there and help out.
However a few that are down there have committed to coming up this way for the fall gathering and will need the break .... also could possibly gather more folks to head back down there to help instead of making the annual pilgrimage to florida for the winter...

then again we know there is family with familes (kiddies) and those with health problems or work related issues that want to gather and cant head down there to help out,,,,

tis very frustrating to us here knowing that we cant get away n go down there but at the same time we dont want to take away anyone that could possibly help down there n yet dont want to single handedly ruin a gathering that is meant to bring the south eastern family together,,,,,,

so here we are sending out over 400 posties and a few hundred emails knowing that about 10% of them are down in mississippi or louisianna n feeling very morally damned if we do n damned if we dont..... any suggestions family?????

I believe ya and understand....

however, though they're slammed, there's only so much you can do, right? Don't get me wrong, NOLA is my fave place and I would do what I could, but right now they've got logistics problems with all the people they have that wanna do stuff.

I will go there as soon as it is open and spend money freely. That will help em out as much if not more.

those that choose in rainbow land have a destination,,hell we as family members have several destinations down there to choosse from..

I think that you should begin to make a place for people to go to. It is a good thing to go down there and help, but it is a better thing to provide refuge and comfort to both the victims and those weary from laboring (helping down there).

 

why not have the gathering as is and when everyone is gathered from there assess the situation and send the willing and able down
