Hello. I ordered my book from Lauren herself a while back. It took forever to get to me and when I recieved it, I was surprised at how bad the quality was of the book. Yes, it is photocopied (maybe a kinko's thing) and hard to read and the images and measurements are not very legible. There is good basic info in the book for someone who needs to know basic things, but on a whole, I thought it wasn't that great of a patchwork/sewing guide. From what I have heard, Lauren is no longer selling her book. There was a girl from another forum that I know is friends with her and she told me that Lauren is not selling anymore.
bah..whatevah. So I asked this girlie what the deal is.. Me: Did you purchase massive amounts of these books from Lauren or are you ripping her off? Just wondering because you sell quite a few of them and eyebrows are starting to rise. Her Response: it's all good, but thanks for your concern!
I see that the auction was ended early...I wonder if eBay shut her down. Personally, I don't buy anything from anyone who is unwilling to show their feedback...the only reason for it is because they have something they don't want you to see...AND I think eBay should not allow it! It's people like that who give eBay a bad name.
even better...i asked her how she is selling so many, and she said "in bulk" then i asked, in bulk from who? she never responded. also, I sent an email to ebay about my concern...thats probably why the auction ended early. they dont shut down people's auctions for random reasons, i bet they looked into it and saw something fishy. votenowar@hotmail.com thats her email. she wont give me a straight answer. i dont agree with the supply and demand idea. if lauren clay doesnt want to sell her book anymore, then thats her choice. people shouldn't take advantage of that, and i know lots of honest people who put their book up on sale after they read and used it. what we have here is someone else marketing her book. even if lauren clay was selling her book, people would still be getting it off ebay, thinking they got a good deal.
hahah omigosh, the seller JUST made her feedback private....it was public last night....thats how i figured it out. i guess she figured out how people can tell what she's benn selling, and now she's covering up after ebay shut her listing and Cre and I emailed her. thats so sneaky. people can't see the evidence now but i saw all that feedback with my own 2 eyes. CLICK here if you have an ebay account and after you sign in you can see all the listings she put up recently. she listed 4 books in the past 10 days!
oh shit...theres another copycat..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=268&item=6975772949 she sold 3 of em already and someone even said it was a copy in her feedback
i totally emailed her too haha i told her she was gonna get a big karma whack in the head for her blatant greed...
I was just wondering if the book is copyrighted. That would make it a more serious offence...not just getting your auctions shut down. I've never seen the book so I don't know. At any rate...rip-offs Suck Donkey Balls!
Geez, what is wrong with these people?! Man, karma is definately going to come around and kick their booties. Wouldn't that also classify as a form of fraud?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Threads-for-Heads-hippie-patchwork-skirt-dress-book_W0QQitemZ6979348080QQcategoryZ268QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Soooooooo, now who is this person? Read her feedback.
i was looking at that earlier too thinking it was the other girl and she had changed her user id...but it says she is from a different part of the country tho...who knows tho that could be faked i would imagine..
here was her response.. hope your harassing other people on ebay that are selling the same book!!!! to which i said.. I hope yer donating the proceeds to the author...you know the one that wrote and copywrote the book you are copying and selling..
haha good job supermommy...see she DOES know she's doing something wrong. and anyone else who's selling the book on ebay is selling just one copy, most likely theirs, not printing a million.
