Techno/Trance v.s. Other

I don't like techno,it's not a natural type of music for me.

 

I hate when people make up genres..

 

i think techno stinks. it's like, not even music.

i hate the genre thing but i listen to trip-hop and industrial different types of electronic music
actually i listen to mostly that
as for it not being ''real'' music thats just a close-minded statement
ignorance

 

I dont like Electronic Music but there are few song which are great, like Bang Bang the ReMix, and Prodigy are the BEST!

 

Techno. Many more things that are more interesting that that one

 

1.trance and techno are two completly different subgenres of electronica
2. please educate yourself about electronica (as a genre) before refering to all electronic music as 'techno' (a subgenre of electronica)
3. there is so more to electronica then just the mainstream crap you download off kazaa when you search 'techno'

to answer your question, I love electronic music, its my main genre of intrest right now, its so diverse, I could never get tired of it.
I'm really into trance, ambi-trance, chill out, psy-goa trance, drum and bass, gabber, deep trance, hard trance, tech, ambient, soundscapes, experimental, psy-chill, down-tempo.
I cant think of any more right now, and I'm not even gonna start to list all my favorite artists, cause that would take about 3 pages or more
electronica can be so spiritual, it can pump you up, it can put you in any kind of mood you want to be in, its so unbelievably diverse thats why i love it

 

I lean toward the more instrumental styles of electronic music.

 

Techno is one of my favorite types of music. I like progressive, acid, experimental, dark, hardcore, and jungle mainly, but all variations are good. Some of my favorite artists are Orbital, The Orb, Rabbit in the Moon, DJ3, Hybrid, Lords of Acid, Tricky, and Future Sound of London, just to name a few.

 

I love all different types of music, but techno, I have to be in the mood for it. It seems to me that trance, house, break beats, whatever, was, or has lately, been made for drug use, rolling, tripping, shrooming, etc. But thats just my IMO and I like techno, a lot of it is really good. If you dont think so, your either listening to the wrong DJ's or you just dont like it period, to each their own.

 

I like a bit of everything. out of Techno and Trance, I'd have to choose techno anyday of the week....unless it was Psytrance and then I'd choose that!

 

i like all music but g, latino, dirty south rap/freestyle and certain rock likee Deftones and Queens of the stoned age, Black Sabbath, Jimi, Pink Floyd Doors r cool. i can stand techno more than country but only certain sub-genres. horrorcore trance or tekno, industrial, is pretty bad ass though. any1 else drunk and sleepy? damn i just god up, get high peace guys one luv te bañas

I just returned from Portland ,Oregon where I discovered the coolest music , I was told it's called down tempo . I'm loving it soooo much. There's a dj named Mark Farina , he spins alot of this . He Rocks !

their are many different forms of techno.
I like the Deep Stuff. Dub techno, Deep techno, minimal techno.
And many people say they don't like genres but you know, a dog is not a cat.
Differences are necessairy. Not everybody likes the same.

 

Dark full-on psytrance, or progressive trance.

heh heh, well, ill say mark farina is def MY fav for making mellow and moody hip hip albums! like i ever thought that could be possible!!! but i love a lil of evey kinda of electronica, from the house of bt, hybrid, daft punk, blue six, to trance of tiesto, sasha, digweed, oakie, to bigbeat of crystal, prodigy, to chillout of future sound and orb, to synthpop of enigma and delerium...... and thats only a small portion of my all time music tastes!
