The hemp that never leaves me!

I thought id show off a few of my hemp stuff that never comes off. I dunno i never really had hemp jewelry that can come off i just dont see the point. Anyways here they are.


Im working on a necklace because i had one that i always wore for about 3 years but i had long hair then and it just fit, now i cut my hair to about the legnth of 2 inches so it doesnt look right. Anyways i got bored so yea. hahah

 

oo i really love that jefferson airplane one!! i just love hemp!!

 

yea thats my latest one. I dunno how i got the idea, i always listen to jefferson airplane when i make hemp stuff so that may have been it. Anyways its new and still needs to break it and get soft. I hate this stage though. Its all stiff and feels weird when i sleep hahaha. A few more washes and itll be fine.

I have a hemp necklace that i made that says "Dreamer" with bead letters sort of like yours. I've made a couple others too, some say "imagine" or "peace" and some other stuff. inbloom and i had some, his said my name, and mine said his, but they both broke like assholes.

 

Oh man...I hate that stage in hemp before it gets all soft and nice. Btw Darkstar, I love your bracelets!

 

hey man whats up? yo i must know...... in the second picture, what knots were used to make the bracelet w/ the whiteish looking beads? if poss., what knots were used for bothe peices? just look really neat-y-o

 

well the one with the brown beads is just the ordinary square knot. The other one was a bit of a challenge. There are books out there that will show you how to combine 3 square knots into one massive hemp creation but i got real stoned one day and figured out how to combine just 2. Thats what the other one and my anklets are tied with. Thats how i got two rows for the letters, because its two square knot strips. You need 7 small strings and your have to mesure it yourself but 7 strings and tie one regular square knot on the left 4 strings. Then with the remaining 3 strings on the right side, use the farthest string on the left side to use as your left string on the right square knot. Its really not too hard to figure out once you tied out that first square knot on the left. Its pretty tricky though remembering which string goes where and such but you'll get it down. I know though everyones always asking me how i made that tie but i just figured out a cool way to make a knot.

 

just a tip, to help make the hemp not so itchy and stiff at first soak it in conditioner and hot water for a few hours then rinse it out and let it dry, or throw it on while it's wet to start the stretching sooner... hope this helps

you cant tell cause my camera sucks but one of the hemp anklets has phat glass beads on it, and bells.... my boyfriend made it for me....

I would show pics of the hemp I always wear, unfortunately amongst my friends, various software and hardware has become community property, so my USB connection for my digi cam is floating somewhere in our small group. But I wear three bracelets religiously, one just states, "I *heart* Daniel" in block letters, one is the first hemp bracelet I ever made with just a couple small black beads, two white tribal sort of beads, and one large black bead in the center of them, and the other one is just one with those cheap generic little plastic beads, 3 black, two red. I might post a picture when I get my cord back. I also made a hemp necklace of sorts for the stuffed penguin my boyfriend gave me for my birthday that says "Ephrim" in block letters on it. That's the penguin's name, lol. I like to do dorky things like that...teehee. And for Christmas, I made two of my best friends (both male) hemp bracelets. One said "Tampon" and the other "Fellatio." Odd requests they made before they left for college...haha.
