all polituics suck...face it...there has basically NEVER been a political/economic system [in practice] that for the long run has worked for the entire population
i must say, with my limited knowledge of american politics, the whole "electoral votes" system of assigning who is the president isnt that great in my opinion of which is more representative, i would go with popular vote...or popular vote by state [and then who wins more states, but then you can have a tie which isnt good]...i find it cponcocts the same problem as in canada where more focus is drawn to those places where more ridings can be won [ontario and quebec]
i second that.......bush doesn't care about using alternative methods....all he cares about is picking up where daddy left off and making sure his nose stays clean. he wants to be president at his convenience and take time off to vacation and whatnot, taking life easy while sending soldiers out left and right
if you voted nader then you helped bush out just takes votes from kerry i did not wvote at all i did not like any canidate that had a chance at all
This kind of post is completely anathema to the hippie way of life man. You don't like it when the right stereotypes you do you? I voted for Bush. I work in Washington, DC and have been around Kerry long enough to know that he stands for nothing. In his more than 20 years of service in the Senate he has done very little. Why would I vote for someone who has a record of inaction as opposed to an Executive who I can at least predict, even if I don't always agree with his policies.
Not voting is also a choice... So yes she can complain, it our right to say what we please... If both choices suck, and the alternative obviously has no chance, then Not voting is a way of saying that neither canidate was good enough. They really need to add a NONE OF THE ABOVE option. I'm sure it would win every election.
some poeple see it as the lesser of 2 evils, but really, when it comes to running your country, wouldnt you want the lesser of 2 evils doing it?
