The only thing i have to say is don't judge a book by its cover. FYI: Islam means Peace. How can a religion which has a name Peace can teach terror?
Because the people that have any power.. don't always [hardly ever] interprete [these books] the way it maybe should.. having millions of people that have no real voice or sway on matters of faith..seems a bit wrong. It does not matter though as the most 'liberal' outlook on these works .. ultimately relys on 'blind faith' and imho so antiquated it is just dragging humanity down.. rather than enlightenting and pushing us all forward.. e.g it is going to take about 5-10 years before female bishops are allowed. e.g OBL and his ilk have radicaly altered the world for the worse using islam [not really counter acted by the millions of muslims who think he is nuts]. The list is almost endless.
Is that right? So my friend what do you believe in? By the way what did Quran modified from old testement?
I'm so glad i could find a post like this and as a muslim i'd like to say something about this matter.. First of all europians knows very little about islam cause of what they've seen before especially some arab based terrorist groups used islam for their popularity with the folks but that's not the whole story and i can answer all of the questions. my mail and msn = night_stalker_94@yahoo.com.tr Turkey is the only modern islam country and not different from europe that means islam is not a religion of barbarian culture.It came everypeople in the world and the most important thing is it can acceptable by every nation. I have spoken to many muslim people [i work with dozens] on many different levels.. i appreciate viewing it through the action of the 'radical' elements is unfair.. but it is a key element and can't be avoided. Of course vast swathes of people follow religeon, and don't inflict there opinions on others [other than how i hope we are doing now]. I have never thought it was 'barbarian' and i realise it has brought many good things to the world.. shame these things slip the [even those who know about such things] mind. It can be acceptable , and i hate the way the media portray islam in such a devisive way.. but it is not always helped by by muslim people not intergrating. Is it turkey that still has the custom of marrying into the family [cousins and such ?]
not girls either. some of those turks are very nice looking. even tho they are unfortunate circumcise.
I feel no hate toward a people that is madness but I do have some questions From reading the Quran - it seems to divide the world into the house of peace - where Muslims are in control and the house of war - where secular governments are in control. It also seems to say that although people of the book can pay a tax and live under Muslim laws they are in no way the equal of a follower of the Quran. What am I reading wrong?
