Most of the TV programs and new films suck

I find it wery boring to wach tv these days. It is all with stupid programs and all of them are the same. And the films that are recorded these days are stupid also.

 

I agree with the movies they are putting out on the big screen are worse then reruns of Charles in Charge..
But if you are an emo preteen then you are in luck....
And most of the shows on tv are trash and all reality shows..

 

The best tv shows were made in the MID/ late 60s, 70s some in the 80s fewer in the 90s. NOTHING THIS DAYS.

 

ahahahahaha, i totaly agree, every thing has johnny deep playing some dark role.... but there still are some good movies you just got to look harder

not all films are bad sure movies are bad id say theyre different things
as an aspiring director i must say that there are good films out there you just have to look
anything mainstream is gonna be crap

 

I dunno, overall the quality may have gone down, but the real good ones are real fuckin' good...
it's hard to judge really
maybe you are just watching the wrong shows and movies...
nowadays critically acclaimed means most likely shit

as far as shows, discovery and shit is real good to watch, Mindfreak is fuckin' weird, Rescue Me is amazing, uhhhh.... and there is always reruns....

I haven't seen a good, newly-released movie for a long time. This new Crash thing that's got a bunch of hype behind it, looks like garbage.

There a few good TV shows out there, but its mostly crap, I agree. Late Night with Conan O' Brien, Arrested Development, and Family Guy are the only shows I can think of that still make me laugh. The Simpsons have gotten really stale.

I think that is just emblematic of what's gone wrong....

 

Man, how many remakes of Batman have been done? Those Batman remakes started back in the 80s. Not to mention all the remakes of everything else in the movie industry (the Nutty Professor, Star Trek, Lost in Space, Gilligans Island, and on and on), and many of them don't capture the spirit of the originals. It's time for some fresh stuff instead of the children of the baby boomers re-doing all the shows their parents did.

Expect more remakes and reunions as we head into the holiday seaons. The end of the year is always a popular time for entertainers to issue reunion albums, TV shows and the like. I guess it fits in with the holiday mood when families are all having get togethers.

One of the worst TV shows I've ever seen was one called 'Puttin on the Hits' (produced by Dick Clark's son). This 'talent' show would have people come out and lip-sync to old groups such as the Everly Brothers and the Beatles and dress like them too. What a farce. Then, judges would rate them on creativity. How can you rate creativity when they are all lip-syncing?

Dick Clark was having a board meeting with a bunch of people from the TV industry and someone in the room started bashing 'Puttin on the Hits' not realizing that it was Dick Clark's son who produced it. Dick met with him after the meeting and told the guy it was his son's show but said it was alright and didn't get upset.

I'm talking the radomski one (the guy who animated tiny toon adventures) it started after I was in school, so it began in the 1990's, I don't know of any 80's batman.....

 

it seem as the same thing happen to the music . this day we are lucky if we get a mediocre single hit . most of the few serius rock stations here only play stuff made in early 1999 "more like 1998" .

 

You can't beat the oldie t.v. shows! :

 

not a huge fan of tv -- especially dont like whats on nowadays...but must admit i got a soft spot for nick at nite....god i love roseanne - even though i have seen them all at least 5 times! hehe. As for movies, I will agree we need new stuff, not all those remakes from the past.

 

oh yeah....do any of you want to see another Mad Mad House from sci-fi? I really loved that show!
